My Butterflies have hatched and LOTV Green project!

Here are my gorgeous new Painted Lady Butterflies which hatched this morning, they are drying their wings in this picture. There are still three Chrysalides almost ready to hatch-I cant wait to see them all! You can see one in the corner of this photo. I will post more photos as they hatch :-) I love Recycling and Green challenges-it motivates me to get out my folder of scrap design papers and make use of the little scraps I cant bear to throw away!
I started by stamping the LOTV Dandelion Clock stamp in Memento and colouring in Promarkers and sakura glitter pen to accent. I then got out my scrap papers and placed them on a Kraft card blank, making little stripes and leaving a little gap between each one. I then added the stamped image, placing her feet on design papers the same colour I had coloured the floor she was walking on in the image.
I had cut some gorgeous butterflies and hearts with SCAL that I had in a little bag ready for crafting and I began by placing the butterflies-inc…

My first Tatty Teddy card!

Sorry for the delay in posting, I have been really poorly since my birthday-this illness really does punish you! Lovely to be back though-have missed you all!
I have waited for ages for this lovely new range of Tatty Teddy crafting bits to come out from docrafts and as soon as I saw them launch it I just had to ask for it for my birthday :-) The papers and kraft cardstock come from the goody bag which is great value and great product this month! The stamp I got separately, and I chose one that I can use for any occasion so I can use him often.
For this project I used Docrafts Tatty Teddy stamped in black memento and coloured with promarkers, Tatty teddy papers, dressmaking pins, lemon bow, Kraft cardstock, my nestie shapes, a lovely 3D butterfly and gems.
I started by stamping Tatty Teddy and what is great is you only need to colour a few little areas with your promarkers because his fur is really detailed and doesnt need a lot of extra colour (great for quick cards!).
Next I cut the …

I used Papermania velvet papers, Red velvet card from my stash, my promarkers, white card cut with nesties, gems and a hand written sentiment and hand drawn baseball. Its my birthday and time of OSCC Chocolate Challenge!

Sorry this post is late-its my birthday and I unfortunately had the mother of all headaches earlier so was lying in a quiet room dosed up to the nines! Thankfully it has calmed down a little so I can post my card for the great challenge over at One Stop Craft Challenge for this week-'Chocolate'. I would love to see you come and join in-as usual just click on the link :-)
This was really hard for me as I never make cards in this colourway but I am really happy with how it came out.
For this project I used a Lili of the Valley Bunny stamped in Memento, coloured in Promarkers, Pearlised brown cardstock, Papermania Garden papers, ribbon from my stash, Papermania gold greeting sticker and three buttons from my stash.
I chose a simple layout because I thought it would make the pearlised card more effective on the card.

Forever friends Easter

For this project I used: Flocked patterned paper, glitter paper, die cuts, Forever friends image printed from the Forever friends CD ROM.
I have the Forever friends CD ROM and I have decided I dont use it enough and I needed to make some quicker easter cards because I haven't got round to them quickly enough so this was perfect!
I wanted to make an interesting sketch to follow for this card so I used two square panels and attached them on opposite corner so you get good flashes of the papers alongside the image. I placed the image in the centre and then added a greeting and a die cut bird to finish.

Another week has gone by so its time for another challenge over at One Stitch at a Time! This week our challenge is to 'Make it Sassy' and I was given the lovely digi from Hope Jacare doodles at Stitchy Bear Digital Stamps. I made this card for a teenage girl and thought black and white with a flash of red and some bling would be perfect!
For this project I used the digi coloured in promarkers, design paper from my stash, DCWV scalloped 8x8 cardstock, anita's glitterations greeting and red glitter strips by Papermania.

Lili of the Valley Mens card

For this project I used a LOTV image stamped in Memento and coloured in Promarkers, Blue coredinations card, Penny Black sentiment stamped in Papermania blue ink, buttons and string.
I wanted a really simple look for my male card and I am quite pleased with the results, I stamped directly onto the card, placed the two buttons on 3d foam pads with string tied in the button holes, and the coloured image on a mat of blue card.

Forever Friends Dome Card

For this project I have used Forever Friends decoupage, paper petal, card candy, Forever friends papers and greeting, Martha Stewart Score board, and lastly acetate.
I started by mounting the paper onto card and creating the decoupage, adding a flower with a card candy middle and a greeting in the bottom corner. The most difficult part of the card was making the dome card part with acetate. I measured the acetate to be longer than the card and created folded over sections on each end by scoring them on my Martha Stewart scoring board. I then stuck them down and created the dome part of the card. Then I mounted this dome onto a square card blank and left a little white border on all sides.

Spring Showers Bring April Flowers...

For this project I used Magnolia Tilda stamped image coloured with promarkers, Glossy accents, Papermania Summer Bloom papers, borders and themed stickers.
I started by mounting the really pretty paper onto card, and placing a glittered bird sticker over the picture of the bird in the paper to highlight it, then I added the pretty Tilda I had coloured with promarkers and gave the effect of shiny new wellies by covering them with Glossy accents and letting it dry.
Next I added the glittery flowery wellington boots sticker in the corner, and the glittery border from Tilda to the edge of the card.

Bloom and Grow Gorjuss Girl

For this project I used: Gorjuss girl stamped in Memento, coloured with promarkers, My Minds Eye Bloom and grow papers, Papermania textured card, Marianne creatable shape die, my Cuttlebug, 3D Butterfly, 'Smile' Greeting, gems, fabric flower and a gold dew drop.

I love the Bloom and grow papers, they are not my usual colours so they challenge me to craft differently-I love a challenge!
I mounted the papers onto textured card stock, and cut an oval with my cuttlebug to sit the Gorjuss girl onto. I placed the panels and ribbon strip along the middle, and then placed the oval with the girl in the centre. I then added the greeting in the top left hand corner and the flower in the opposite bottom corner. Next I added the butterfly, and used aqua gemstones to show the butterflies path.

OSAAT 'New Baby'

It is my first week as official DT at One Stitch at a Time! I feel very honoured to be asked to join their team after being their Guest designer a few weeks ago-they are a great team!
The theme this week is 'New Baby' and I was given the image 'Take me home' by Barbara Jensen at Stitchy Bear Digital Stamps.
I would love for some of you to join in this week-we always have great prizes :-)
For this project I used Design papers from my stash, Promarkers, Nesties, Baby self adhesive Ribbon, Buttons, Gems, and a 'cute' sticker.
I started to colour the digi first, and I coloured him with my promarkers and created noticeable stripes by colouring over the line a few times to suggest shaggy dog hair and I am really pleased with the result. I then mounted this onto some pretty striped paper. Next I covered the card blank with powder blue paper and then chose where to place the image. I then added a row of square blue gems on one side, then ribbon on the opposite side. Ne…

OSCC Monochrome 'An Elephant Never Forgets'

Its challenge time again at One Stop Card Craft and our theme this week was 'Monochrome'. I chose an adorable digi from the collection at Robyn's Fetish-isnt he really cute? :-) I would love to see some of you enter our challenge this week-we have a great prize :-)
For this project I also used Papermania capsule collection Monochrome papers, Promarkers, black glitter card, butterfly punch, black card, ribbon, buttons, vinyl sticker, brads and a white petal.
I started by colouring my digi in grey promarkers, and mounting him onto a panel of patterned paper, backed with black card. I then covered the card blank in a panel of patterned paper backed with black card to echo the focal point, but with a tiny border of white showing through. Next I embellished the card with black and white embellishments, ribbon, flowers, brads, buttons, butterfly and a vinyl sticker.
They are not colours I usually play with but I was really happy with the result :-)

Ballet Belle Peach and Greens

For this project I have used a Lili of the Valley image stamped in Memento and coloured with promarkers, My Minds Eye Papers, Chalks, Nestie cut circle shaped card, buttons, sewing pins and a dome sticker greeting 'Have a Fabulous Day!'
I started by making use of the double sided design paper. I folded back the front panel to reveal the green and cream polka dot paper, and then added a square of the same paper underneath, creating a pocket. I then placed the heart shaped dress making pins inside this pocket to echo the green heart on the Ballerina's headband.
Next I covered the white nestie die cut shape with peach glimmer chalks, and placed the Ballerina on foam pads dancing up from it. I placed her on the card, and then added a green and peach flower in the bottom right hand corner and the greeting in the top left hand corner.

Butterfly Tilda in Aqua

I loved making this card! For this project I used Tilda stamped in Memento and coloured with promarkers, Papermania Aqua capsule collection, my nesties, aqua cardstock, glittered butterflies, gems, and a 'Friends' greeting.
I started by cutting a scalloped square card blank with my Cricut, and scoring across one side to make an easel card. Next I chose my papers. Firstly I mounted the papers onto the top and bottom panels, and then cut a strip of paper that matched and placed 3d foam tape on the reverse. I then lined it up with the pattern on the paper below it and attached it which made it my anchor.
Next I mounted Tilda onto the scalloped circle die cut and placed it on the top. Then I added two butterflies, and gem trails from both of them, they are difficult to see in the photos but I have tried editing the photos to try and show them!
Lastly I added a smaller scalloped circle die cut of the aqua card to the corner of the card and placed the 'Friends' greeting onto…

PCC Three or More Layers...

Its time for a new challenge! The theme today over at My Partner in Crafting Crime is 'Three or more layers'-I would love to see some of you come and join us this fortnight!
I used this opportunity to get out my Forever Friends Black and Gold CD-ROM out to play with! I also usedthe Papermania 'Elegance' Collection of papers, Dovecraft gold glitter ribbon, Gold and Brown textured card, My nesties, and a heart pin.

I started by decoupaging the lovely image of a couple of Forever Friends bears-you can choose different greetings that fit this picture which is really useful. I then mounted this onto two layers of nestie shapes in brown and gold card. I covered my blank in patterned paper-its gorgeous, has a lovely sheen to it and suits the Black and Gold theme really well. I then placed my decoupaged image on nesties onto the paper and added a gold sewing pin at the top.
Lastly I added a strip of Dovecraft gold ribbon.
