OSAAT Collab School/Job related

Its time for a new challenge at One Stitch at a Time and our theme this week is School/Job. Our prize this week is the collab above-what a fab prize! I was given a digi from Stitchy Bear digi store which I printed and used Prima 'Road Trip' papers because I thought it suited the bear at school. I wanted to make it quite a mascaline project so I added Kraft card cut with my nestie and a 'With love x' Tatty Teddy stamped greeting on a white nestie shape. I used a green papermania capsule collection bow to finish the project.  Please look at our fab competition starting from next week-you can win the chance to get your work published in our advert in Papercraft essentials magazine! Well worth a try! ;-)

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:

OSCC Vintage

Its a new challenge at One Stop Craft Challenge and this week our theme is my favourite trend of the moment, Vintage :-)
For this project I used an image from the 'The Graphics Fairy' and isnt she just gorgeous?!
I used Bo Bunny Gabrielle papers, Pearlescent embossed paper, MS Punch, Tim Holtz distress inks, Papermania Aqua Capsule Collection, Flocked paper from my stash, pearl ribbon, and a gorgeous aqua flower.
I wanted to pick out the blues in her dress in the card to really show it off so I used the Aqua paper and aqua flower to accent it, and used neutral brown and cream colours alongside it. I inked all the edges of the card blank and the first layer of Bo Bunny backing paper. I chose two design papers to fan alongside the image and used my stitching tool on the aqua paper. I then added a 'Happy Birthday' dome sticker on the middle aqua panel in her line of vision.
I punched a border into the pearlescent paper, then placed this along the bottom, and stained it wi…

Sarah Kay in Aqua

Good afternoon everyone, hope you are well :-) What lovely weather we are having :-)
For this project I used Sarah Kay image stamped in memento and coloured with promarkers, assorted aqua papers-some Tim Holtz, Some papermania and others miscelleneous, glitter paper, my sewing tool, button, and 'Lots of love' butterfly greeting.
I used my sewing tool on the Tim Holtz panel and hand sewed it with normal sewing thread. I then mounted it onto glittery cardstock. Next I cut the matching papers in panels and covered the card blank so it looks like a patchwork quilt like the patch on her jeans. Lastly I added the unusual button and lovely butterfly die cut greeting.

OSAAT Pearls and Swirls

Its Sunday lunchtime and time for a new challenge at One Stitch at a Time and this week our theme is 'Pearls and Swirls'. I was given Stitchy's the audition from Stitchy Bear digi store to play with and I loved them! We are sponsored by Digis with attitude and Flourish with a Bling so we have two prizes to offer so please come and join in! Please also look at our 'Pretty in Print' contest details-its a wonderful opportunity!

I started by glittering accents on the digis in black glitter, and then put glossy accents over them. I decided they would look great as a celebration gift set and I wanted to make a vibrant backing paper so I used thin white card and inked it with distress inks on sponges and then stamped all over it with the edge of my Tim Holtz stamp with different amount of ink to look distressed. I started with the gift bag and placed two of the digis on there, then added black coredinations butterflies with lilac gems in their centres, and then pearls swi…

Craft Your Passion GDT 'Text It'

Good morning everyone! Hope you are well :-) Its Monday and time for a new challenge at 'Craft Your Passion' and our theme this week is 'Text It', using text on your project.
I was given an image from Laurettas Digital Stamps to play with and I coloured her in Promarkers. I used MME papers and cut little boxes to write 'Hello' on and cut out little duckies and handwrote 'Ducky' on the middle one to make it 'Hello Ducky' for my text.

LOTV Pink and Blue

For this project I used Lili of the Valley image stamped in Memento and coloured with Promarkers, Crochet Flowers in Blue and White with a pink centre, Coredinations gemstones cardstock, Pearlescent heart die cut, 'Special Wishes' dome sticker and pearls in white.
I started by making a backing paper of pink gingham on the top, and blue on the bottom. I then used strips of the contrasting colour on each paper to create interest. I then mounted the image on coredinations cardstock and placed in the middle. I added the heart and crochet flowers, and lastly added the sentiment in the bottom left hand corner and a trio of pearls in the top right hand corner.

I placed her sitting on a quilt of MME papers, with the join where the edge would be. I then added a carpet of paper flowers behind her, and added a butterfly flying around her and used little pink gems to show its path, not very clear in the photo though. Lastly I added a 'Make a Wish' greeting that went with the MME papers I had used.

I was given this great digi from Sassy Studio to play with, perfect for an adult birthday card and I coloured her with Promarkers, then matted the image onto silver mirri card. I then used this mirri card for the lacy borders punched with my Martha Stewart Doily Lace punch. I used the Sketch for my layout on the top of the easel card but switched so the image was the right way round, then mirrored it but switched round for the bottom of the card.

Distressed Butterfly and Tim Holtz Gift Box

Good afternoon everyone, I hope you are well :-) I found some awesome unfinished wooden boxes in a cheap store the other day. I decided to have a play with the butterfly stamps and Tim Holtz stamps I hadnt had a chance to use yet to make a distressed gift box.
I began by covering the box in a thin base coat of pearlescent blue acrylic paint. I left this to dry. Next I covered the box in Crackle Glaze and let it dry. I then painted a thin layer of 'Sand' acrylic paint as my top coat. I then left this to dry and crackle.
Lastly I used my Tim Holtz and Butterfly stamps and randomly stamped over it using Stazon black ink. I tried to get the effect of distressing by unevenly applying the ink on the stamps too.
I hope you like it!

Distressed LOTV beauty

Hello everyone, hope you are well! I have been really struggling with my health recently but I wanted to show you a card I made with the gorgeous new Bo Bunny 'Gabrielle' papers-I love them so much I found it hard to cut them! I used a LOTV image stamped in Memento and coloured with promarkers and sakura pen for the mirror, Coredinations gemstones cardstock, Kraft cardstock, Bo Bunny papers, and flocked paper from my stash, Prima flowers, Lace, Pearls, distress inks and a bow.
I followed the lovely sketch from Donalda at the LOTV challenge for this card and started by mounting kraft cardstock onto a white card blank. I then placed the papers following the sketch, and mounted the image on Coredinations gemstones cardstock. I then inked and distressed the edges of all the paper and card with distress ink on a sponge and on the image with a paintbrush dabbed in ink. I then added my embellishments and made a special centre for the bow in the corner by using a circle of pearls with…

While you are here please enter my new candy :-)

Today I thought I would try something a bit different and try to keep my card very simple. I started with pink polka dot paper and mounted this onto my card blank. I have some wonderful butterfly stamps I bought with my birthday money and I thought it would look lovely stamping in coordinating ink on the patterned paper as my embellishments. I used blue gemstones coredinations as my frame for my lovely LOTV image coloured in promarkers, and then added her with little pink ones flying nearby. In the bottom corner I used a LOTV sentiment stamp. I hope you like it!

Good morning everyone-I hope its as sunny and lovely where you are as here! This is my first play with distress inks, and my lovely new Sepia accents and I have fallen in love! I found some great gift bags, 2 for 99p and so thought I would try making a matching gift set.

Here is the card I made for my brother passing his driving test. I knew I had a really old stamp with some teddies in a car and it took ages to find it! I stamped it in Memento and coloured with Promarkers and silver gel pen on the accents. I used Bev's cloud technique around the car, and on the window so it looked realistic. I then mounted the image on Blue coredinations card. I used my lovely new My Minds Eye papers and made panels of them and placed the on Kraft card. I then placed the Kraft card onto a square card blank. I used Hampstead ribbon along the bottom panels and added a 'Congratulations' peel off in the bottom right hand corner. Lastly I added three odd buttons I thoug…
