OSAAT Pearls and Swirls

Its Sunday lunchtime and time for a new challenge at One Stitch at a Time and this week our theme is 'Pearls and Swirls'. I was given Stitchy's the audition from Stitchy Bear digi store to play with and I loved them! We are sponsored by Digis with attitude and Flourish with a Bling so we have two prizes to offer so please come and join in! Please also look at our 'Pretty in Print' contest details-its a wonderful opportunity!

I started by glittering accents on the digis in black glitter, and then put glossy accents over them. I decided they would look great as a celebration gift set and I wanted to make a vibrant backing paper so I used thin white card and inked it with distress inks on sponges and then stamped all over it with the edge of my Tim Holtz stamp with different amount of ink to look distressed. I started with the gift bag and placed two of the digis on there, then added black coredinations butterflies with lilac gems in their centres, and then pearls swirling along the middle.
Next I made my tag with kraft card and put one black coredinations butterfly with lilac gem middle and pearl swirls, and lastly my card.
For the card I placed the ballerina in the centre and put four butterflies on one side and swirls of pearls the opposite side. I would love to know what you think!

I would like to enter this project into the following challenges:
Just Us Girls: Gift bag
2 Sisters: Anything Goes
Allsorts: Free and Easy
Ellephantastic Challenges: Celebration
The Stamp Man Challenges: Anything by Tim Holtz
A Spoon Full of Sugar: Tags
Stamps and Fun=Creativity: Digistamps

Thank you for looking!

Crafty Ribbons/Fiskars LED canvas

Good afternoon everyone, hope you are well. I am here to share a backlit canvas using my Fiskars tools in a rather unusual way. I took the canvas off from the frame and folded it in half to randomly punch across the front of the canvas. I kept the cuttings for later. I then stapled the canvas back onto the frame. Next I stapled muslin fabric across the front of the canvas. I then added Clermont Cotton Lace across the bottom of the canvas as a border. I then got out my flexmarkers and coloured the punched canvas pieces in three complimentary colours. I then asked tiny gems to the centre of each and glued them randomly like flowers across the muslin fabric.

Thank you for visiting and for all your lovely comments!

Alkaline Trio lyrics mixed media canvas

I am here to show you a canvas I created using printable cotton, cotton batting, plastic vintage style frame, acrylic paints, die cut foam, metal embellishments, glitters, texture pastes and nail caviar. The lyric fabric I created in a craft program then printed onto cotton, and placed in the frame after I had stuffed the frame with cotton batting.
