Its Sunday and time for the new challenge at One Stitch at a Time Challenge blog and this week we have a fantastic opportunity for you! To celebrate our ad in Papercraft Inspirations magazine we are starting our 'Pretty in Print' competition offering you the opportunity to see your creation in print in our advert! How exciting-you could be published in a major UK magazine! :-) The rules and details are in the badge above and you can use this on your sidebar to remind you to enter every week!
For this project I used Digi 'Altered Alice' by June (available at Stitchy Bear digi store) Papermania papers, Distress inks, Wooden butterfly embellishment, Button, Ribbon and Tim Holtz adage ticket.
I started by distressing the card with tea stain ink, I used a paint brush inked from the distress ink pad to distress around the digi to make the project look aged. I mounted her onto blue paper I had distressed and then brown card. I then mounted this on the card covered in cream distressed paper. I used strips of the backing paper, folded and stuck together with a button on top as a flower in the top corner of the digi, and adage ticket in the opposite bottom corner. Then I added a polka dot ribbon along the edge and embellished with a wooden butterfly.
While you are here please enter my blog candy in the post below-also found by clicking on the 'blog candy' photo on my sidebar-and good luck! :-)
We are also looking for some great new Design Team members at One Stitch at a Time, we have a lovely group of ladies and we cant wait to meet our new teamies!
