Valentines Tilda

I wanted to make some Girly Valentines cards and I just love the 'Rose Garden' papers by Papermania! I wanted to frame the beautiful rose pattern on this paper so it wasn't lost under images and embellishments, as that would be a real shame.
I used a Tilda stamped in memento, and coloured in promarkers and stickles for her bow, I placed her sitting on an embossed frame which I covered in shimmer chalks so it sparkles lots in the light. I then added a pretty butterfly fluttering by, with stickles as its dotted path :-) Lastly I hand wrote 'on Valentines day' on a die cut 'for you' greeting surrounded with roses. I also added a paper rose and used stickles on this to make it really pop :-)

Girls just wanna have fun!

This project was inspired by the theme over at 2 Sisters 'Girls just wanna have fun'-I think this Whiff of Joy stamp fits this theme perfectly!
She is stamped in memento and coloured with promarkers. For this project I used Coredinations cardstock, My Minds Eye 'Pretty Please' papers, iridescent sequins on cotton, a dome greeting sticker and two pink roses. Its a pretty simple design but I think its come out well :-)

Male Forever Friends Valentines

I was inspired by the theme over at Cards for men this week, to make a valentines card :-)
For my card blank I used Kraft card, which I think suits male cards well. I used a nestibilities scallop shape cut in brown textured card, some paper from the gorgeous 'Elegance' collection by Papermania which dazzles in the light-the photo doesn't do it justice! I also used silver peel offs and transfers from the Forever friends range. I also finished it off with some pearlised cream and silver peel off hearts.

Saving Nature

This project was inspired by the great theme at Allsorts this week-'Saving Nature'-using all the scrap bits and random things not even meant for card making that would probably end up in the bin-what a waste! I cant bear throwing away such pretty papers which was handy for this challenge! I also used buttons that aren't intended for card making but I came across and fell in love with!
I used mostly scraps of My minds eye papers, and organised them in strips, then added further borders on the far right hand side to frame the gorjuss girl image :-) I stamped her in memento and coloured her in promarkers. I inked the edge of the nesties shape shes sitting on with a Tim Holtz ink pad then started with the embellishments. For this card I used star mother of pearl buttons along the bottom border, a 3d butterfly by papermania at the top right hand corner, with pearl embellishments to show its fluttering journey and lastly a flower I made out of my paper petals. I echoed the colour of her dress in the largest petal, then added a red and orange petal and a gold gem to echo the colours in the paper. I love these bold colours, I think they really suit the gorjuss girl image!

Reduce, Reuse and Recycle Tilda and I am a winner!

Good afternoon, I hope you are all well! Here is my latest project :-)
For this I used: Papermania Square Kraft Card Blanks, A Tilda stamped in  Memento and coloured with promarkers, assorted papers from my scrap folder, paper flowers, gems and an embossed butterfly.
I was really inspired by the challenge over at Magnolia Down Under-the theme is Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle so I thought it was a chance to use up some of my scraps of patterned paper I keep in a folder-I cant bear to throw away such beautiful things! I also thought the Kraft card fitted this challenge well too. I found assorted strips of patterned paper so decided to make the background out of them-and Tilda looks so good perched on one of the strips! I then made a flower out of assorted pale yellow and pink petals, and a green brad. Lastly I added the embossed butterfly and used pearl gems to show its travels over the card :-)
I hope you like my creation and thank you for your comments, I really appreciate them :-)
I have just found out that I am a winner at Crafty Ann's Challenge Blog for my 'Rose Garden Tilda' Project :-) Thank you to the team at Crafty Ann's and my followers for all your support :-)

Vintage Tilda

Good morning everyone, hope you are well. Unfortunately I have been pretty poorly with Chickenpox-don't believe that saying that you only catch it once because this is my second dose of it and its not nice! Nevermind, I'll recover soon and get back to blogging properly :-)
I went to a museum a while ago and was inspired by a section which showed home made cards the Victorians made to send each other at certain occasions. What a lovely idea and I am so glad that this hobby has carried on until now because I don't know what I would do without my crafting! Most samples I saw while I was there used a lot of lace and so it's interesting to see styles come back in fashion-over a hundred years of style! :-)
For this project I used Papermania 'Rose Garden' papers, Tim Holtz ink pad, Paper Roses, Paper petals, wire, buttons, a Tilda image stamped in memento, and coloured in promarkers, a doily, lace and a die cut shape which I handwrote a greeting onto.
I started by cutting the 6x6 papers down, and inking the edges of these papers to distress them. I then added cream lace as a border between the two patterned papers, inked the edges of my paper doily and attached it to the card. Tilda sat well on the centre of the doily with her feet dangling down :-) I then made the large pink flower with three flower petals and a button which I secured with green wire. I then added the two yellow roses to echo the yellow in the paper along the top of my card. Then I hand wrote 'On Valentines day' with a fine liner pen onto the die cut rose shape and threaded a pink rose into a hole at the top instead of a brad. Lastly I covered sections of the roses and flowers with stickles glitter glue-I'm afraid it didn't show up too well in the photo but you can see the added texture in the close ups :-)

I hope you like my card, and I really appreciate each and every comment that is made :-)

Rose Garden Tilda

Since getting my Aquamarkers for Christmas I have been desperate to play with them but haven't been able to, so today I finally had a go-I hope you all think Tilda looks ok! I found them quite easy to use, I would recommend them to anyone :-)
For this project I used a mix of old and new-Rose Garden papers, coredinations gemstones cardstock, roses, gems, stickles, a chipboard greeting and a dome greeting. With my New Tilda stamp coloured in my new Aquamarkers.
I followed the lovely sketch over at Fussy and Fancy Friday Challenges. I used the Rose Garden papers as my base on a white square card blank. Then I used the Gemstones card to mount my image onto and to put as a strip on the left hand side. I then used a Rose Garden border on this strip to add detail. Next I added stickles glitter to my little roses to make them sparkle in the light, then made a heart greeting with a heart chipboard greeting and a heart die cut. To finish this I added a pink gem, then a couple of smaller iridescent gems in a line above it, as if it were hanging from the image. Lastly I added the 'Have a Fabulous Day!' dome sticker on the top right corner and a pink butterfly fluttering by Tilda.

Lets get warm and toasty!

Here is a simple card I made for a friend who is too poorly to keep in contact at the moment. I thought the image was perfect for the theme over at Fab 'n' Funky because shes all tucked up in her warm coat and boots-you need it in the cold weather!
For this project I used ribbons I won a long time ago, a blue 'miss you' greeting written in brown, polka dot paper, white corregated card and a lovely image coloured with my promarkers, and highlighted with clear glitter. I followed the great sketch over at Fairymoon crafts for my layout and used all my old stash to follow the theme over at Easy Craft Projects :-)

Tilda with my new stash!

Sorry for the delay in posting, have been feeling pretty terrible the past few days but crafting this has put a smile back on my face :-)
I used my new Nesties, Magnolia dies and My Minds Eye papers I bought in the sale :-)
My other supplies I used were Coredinations 'Gemstones' card, Coredinations 'Chocolate box' card, Brown textured card, a little brad, a couple of flowers, a heart button, a gem and a 3d butterfly. A stamped Tilda coloured in promarkers too.
I put the chocolate and gemstone card through my cuttlebug with my new nestibilities, then ran the chocolate card back through in a Cuttlebug 'Swiss dots' embossing folder. I then did the same with the Magnolia dies but also chose to put the gemstones petal through with the chocolate one so they were both dotty :-) Last for my cuttlebug was the gemstones card used with a Magnolia border die.
I then used distress ink around the edges of my white card blank, and sanded the embossed dots to distress them which shows the aqua tones of the coredinations card beneath the chocolate surface.
I mounted the textured brown card onto the white card blank, then the MME papers on top. Mounting tilda on the nesties shapes came next, and I added a card rose covered in white shimmer chalks on the left hand bottom corner, then a heart shaped pearlised button, and an aqua pearl in the top right hand corner. I then added the pretty border and finished it with a pretty flower I made with the magnolia die cut flowers, and a light blue and white paper flower. Last was the 3D butterfly fluttering by to finish-woo sorry this has come out really complicated!

Gorjuss Poppy Girl

For this project I used My Minds Eye 'Bloom and Grow' papers, Kraft card blank, my new corner punch from x-cut, orange glitter borders, gold gems, a flower and a Gorjuss poppy girl image stamped in Memento and coloured wth promarkers.
I first punched the corners, then added the papers-I used 2x12 inch border bloom and grow papers and cut the last panel much smaller. I then placed the image in centred in the border between the main panels. I then placed the flower and pearl gem as its centre, then stuck the glitter borders to finish the project.

Bright White Butterflies

For this project I used white cardstock put through my cuttlebug with an embossing folder, a felt butterfly, shimmer chalks, card candy, my butterfly punch, pearls, flowers, a tiny white brad and a white glitter border.
I love how dramatic this project turned out even without a lot of colour-the only colour I added to the white was very pale blue which I think added the finishing touch :-)
I used the shimmer chalks on the flowers, and the punched butterfly so although it doesn't really show in the photo its really sparkly!
