Good evening everyone, hope you are well :-) I am here to announce something new for my blog that I hope you will all get involved in! :-) I quite often make items which don't fit into a 'card or scrapbook' page category and often struggle to find places to show these in blogland. I thought I would remedy this by making a new two monthly 'Anything goes' challenge where we can all inspire each other with the different crafts we have been playing with! :-) So I mean jewellery, altered items, knitting, etc etc.
I will choose items to showcase on my blog throughout the challenge with a link to your blog to show the talent out there and hold a draw every couple of months of all the entries to win prizes-this first challenge will be sponsored by the wonderful Sarah Hurley-you can drool over all her lovely items at her etsy store here!
I encourage all of you to pop by each others blogs for some fabulous ideas, fun and mostly to meet other like minded crafters and hopefully make friends too! :-) My only request is you follow and link your creation to this post, visit each other and have fun! :-)
Please feel free take the badge and link to the challenge :-)
I have started this challenge with an altered mirror I have been playing with. Its simple really but I think very effective (but hard to photograph!) -I bought the Butterfly shaped mirror and used Opaque mint Stazon to stamp onto the mirror with some of my favourite Butterfly stamps! What do you think? A nice simple gift for a friend :-)
If you would like to enter please leave a comment under this post with your beautiful creation-I cant wait to see what you talented people have been up to! :-)
The butterfly looks fab xxxxxxxxxxxx
ReplyDeleteElaine this is such a fantastic idea for a challenge & your altered mirror is gorgeous.I know a mirror is hard to photograph,so I bet in real life it is even more stunning.
ReplyDeleteI have a couple of projects that I have kept over the years with best intentions of altering them, but I keep putting it off. This is the kick up the bum I need. Now, which one do I start 1st?
