Hydrangea in Cotton Card

Good morning everyone, hope you are well :-) It is glorious weather today and I was really cheered up by a butterfly fluttering past my face in the garden and landing on the Buddleia-luckily I had my camera and it was my first Peacock Butterfly of the year! :-)
I am here to show you a card I made when playing with cotton the other day. I had an old sheet that I cut up and stamped on it with Stazon. I then coloured the Hydrangea image with Acrylic paints and left to dry. I then stamped the 'Thank you' greeting and attached the cotton to some fusible web to strengthen the material to make it easier to work with on the card. I then sewed around the edge with cotton to match the papers I wanted to use by Papermania, the Burleigh Blue collection. I then made my sketch and just added white coredinations card, then to embellish used buttons and bows also from the Burleigh Blue collection.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:
My Mums Craft Shop: Buttons
City Crafters: Polka Dot Palooza
Top Tip Tuesdays: Recycle it (Old cotton sheet)
Cupcake Craft Challenges: In Stitches
The Squirrel and the Fox: Anything Goes
Ink it Pink Challenge: Fabric
Kaboodle Doodles: Flowers
Stamp n Doodle: Stitching

Thank you for looking and for all your lovely comments :-)

  1. Beautiful card,Elaine! It reminds me of the card you made in blue monochromatic colours some time ago. Love what you did with the image with the use of cotton. It gives it very interesting and different feel.
