CAS Snowflakes in Pearlescent Pinks

Good afternoon everyone, hope you are well :-) Here I am with something way out of my comfort zone but something I am quite pleased with all the same. I find CAS styles quite difficult but with my resolution to challenge myself this year I am really pushing myself! I embossed the snowflakes directly on the card blank, then used a pearlescent pink ink smudged over them randomly to finish.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:
Pink Gem Challenge: Emboss it
Christmas at Sweet Stampin: Cold and Frosty
Paper Pretties: Try a New Technique
The Paper Shelter: Anything Goes
Craft Room Challenge: Monochrome
Creative Creations Challenges: Keep it Simple
Gingerloft Challenge: Let it Snow
The Order of the Opus Gluei: Pink

Thank you for looking and for all your lovely comments :-)

    Love n hugs

  16. I love the pink over the is a wonderful Christmas color--and don't let anyone tell you differently! :) This is a very simple, clean card but the card fits our topic of "Snowflakes" perfect. Some of these simple and clean cards are the hardest to pull off...we all want to "decorate" just a little more and it's hard to keep it clean. You did a great job on this. Thanks for participating in the Christmas at Sweet Stampin' Challenge! --Gail

  17. This is a lovely card - great CAS style and pretty pink ! Thanks so much for sharing with us at Craft-Room..Esther xx

  18. Ah, I know what you mean about finding CAS challenging, I do too! However, you wouldn't know that this is challenging to you by this simply marvelous card. The snowflakes embossed already are impactful, but then having the subtle shimmer of the pink ink really adds the POP! Pretty pretty and an unexpected touch by using pink. Which just so happen is ideal for our Opus Gluei theme. Thank you so much for playing with us, I hope you come back and check out more themes with us!

  19. Gorgeous creation, thanks for joining us at Craft Room Challenge and good luck. Julia xxx

  20. Looked at this card again. I really like it and wanted you to know it got a second glance from me. It just catches my eye and the way it is simple and clean, but you did excellent using pink. So, again, thanks for submitting it to C at SS! Hugs, Gail

  21. Fabulous CAS card:) I like the snowflakes:)

Home Decor Project-Beaded Curtain Tie Backs

Good afternoon everyone, hope you are well :-) I am here with my favourite home decor make in a while. My father made me a four poster bed as he had some spare wood and I have always wanted one! So my job was to sort out the curtains and the decor to go with it. The bed was painted white and I chose Turquoise organza for my curtains. I thought for a while what sort of look I wanted and had the idea to make beaded tie backs, I wanted an opulent look so I looked for a good mix of Turquoise and other assorted vintage metallic beads, gem beads and pearls which matched well.  I found a fabulous mix of odd beads on ebay, then bought some plastic rings for my hooks, and the rest I had in my stash.  I also used Tiger tail, crimp beads, crimp covers and my jewellery tools.  I wanted to keep them as random mixes so I made each differently. I started by doubling my tiger tail, and folding this over, then fixing the first ring with a crimp and covered this with the crimp cover. I then threaded m…
