Crafty Ribbons Easter Blog Hop!

Wow, can you believe Easter is here already we know the weather has been bad here in the UK so to celebrate Easter and to cheer everyone up we’re having a blog hop with lots of prizes available. We also have a new challenge over at Crafty Ribbons Challenge....

 We'll draw a random winner for both the blog hop and challenge and we’ll have the Top 3 as usual. You can get all the details and lots more ideas from the Design Team over at Crafty Ribbons Challenge . 

Here's what I made for our challenge:

A Spring Alice Band! I used Grosgrain Ribbon and Rainbow Stripe Ribbon which I made into a flower shape and glued onto a thin alice band. I then added a button as my centre.

And for the Blog Hop I have made the following.....

A Spring Mobile! 

I used Gingham Ribbon, Candy Saddle Stitch and Swiss Dots. I cut clouds and butterflies with dies out of felt, then attached these to coloured ribbons. I covered a wire wreath with cotton batting and then covered this with the gingham ribbon. I glued the ribbons to the wreath and then added thin ribbon to hang my mobile.

At each stop there'll be a word to collect and a candy draw.

Dream Valley Pearls and Lace

Good afternoon everyone, hope you are well :-) I am a little late with this project but here is my Pearls and Lace project for our 'pearls and lace' challenge at Dream Valley this time :-) I used Papermania Burleigh Blue papers, American crafts polka dot ribbon, Blue lace from my stash and a mix of pearls and gems representing bubbles and water :-) I coloured her with Copics and Promarkers.

Exciting Crafty Ribbons Easter Blog Hop!

I printed the Sarah Hurley kit onto Printable Canvas sheets-those of you who visit often will know this is one of my most loved new find of the past few months-it gives a great texture and especially on a sewing themed project it really works well :-)

Crafty Ribbons Challenge: One for the Boys

All Sewn Up Mothers Day card

Good evening everyone, hope you are well :-) I am here with my mothers day card I made for my mum. She has an amazing talent at sewing and I have always been in awe of this so Sarah Hurley's new 'All Sewn Up' range and Crafty Ribbons Sewing ribbons here not only go together perfectly but are perfect for a Mothers Day card for her!
I played about with the main panel in serif software and then printed this and my papers onto canvas-this is probably my favourite trick at the moment for instant texture and is also perfect with this range as it looks like fabric :-) I embellished using the crafty ribbons buttons and ribbons. I have included the links for you because both ranges are very reasonable and very on trend so I would advise you to have a peek-its not often you can find two ranges that are so suited :-)

Dream Valley Mothers Day

Good afternoon everyone, hope you are well :-) I am still struggling with my health so I am very sorry I have been quiet-I am hoping it'll clear up soon and I can be back with you :-)

Its Mothers Day in the UK and so we have this as our theme this time at Dream Valley Challenges. 

I chose to make my mother some gemstone jewellery in her favourite colours as my present to her.

Sarah Hurley Notebook and News of the fab new range!

Good morning everyone, hope you are well :-) I am here to show you one of my pay it forward projects for the year. I used Sarah Hurley Curio digi kit printed on canvas and altered a notebook with it, then varnished it. I have been too poorly to create yet but have to tell you about the fab new range from Sarah Hurley called 'All Sewn Up'. Its a fantastic sewing themed range which I love! Sarah Hurley Recycle and winner of my candy!

Good afternoon everyone, hope you are well! I am here with a slightly late project for our 'Recycle' challenge over at Sarah Hurley Challenges. I am starting to feel much better but my throat and voice is still a bit fragile. Hopefully if I am careful I will be much better by the end of the week :-) I chose to use one of my upcycled drink can flowers as my recycling and paired this with a plain wooden box to alter and Sarah Hurley's I love Paris digi kit available here. I printed this onto canvas to give a real texture to the paper which I covered my wooden box in. I then varnished this and then added the upcycled drink can flower :-)

LOTV Shoes in blues!

Good morning everyone, so glad to be bringing you a few creations-in case you didnt see my last post I have been very poorly with a throat infection which has damaged my vocal chords-its not better yet but slowly getting there. Ive missed you all! I will be back later to announce the winner of my candy and I have something new for you to try out for too :-)

OSCC Mothers Day

Good morning everyone, so sorry for my absence recently-the virus I caught led to a nasty throat infection which has damaged my vocal chords-so I have been trying to rest and hope it goes away soon, its better than it was but not gone yet-its very frustrating having no voice!
Anyway I am here with a card for our Mothers Day challenge at One Stop Craft Challenge this week. I used a Saturated Canary image which I tried something a bit different with. I printed the image on patterned canvas-(Sarah Hurley digi polka dot paper I had printed already) and then cut the dress out. I coloured the image with Copics and promarkers, then decoupaged the dress and hair to make the image 3D and to give the dress a material like texture. I coloured on the canvas in nude colour to accent the shadows and creases of the dress.
I used First Edition Spring Feast papers, American Crafts ribbon, My Minds Eye butterflies cut with a Sarah Hurley SVG file and gems. I then added a 'Have a fabulous day' dome greeting.
