A Little Bit Crafty-Anything Goes!

Good morning everyone! I am here with a new challenge for my new DT-A Little Bit Crafty! I was honoured to be asked by Paula to join her team, because she is one of my oldest friends in the crafting world and I have a lot of respect for her. Shes picked a wonderful team and its a pleasure to join them all :-) Our first challenge is 'Anything Goes'.
I used some of my favourite ranges at the moment, the wonderful All Sewn Up range by Sarah Hurley found here which perfectly compliments the Knit and Sew range at Crafty Ribbons found here. I printed my Sarah Hurley papers and hexagons onto canvas as this really makes a lovely texture and perfectly compliments the material texture you would expect with a sewing theme. I arranged my Hexagons and arranged little snippets of sentiment ribbon which I set with clear nail varnish to prevent fraying. I then added complimenting buttons to finish.
We are sponsored this month by the following companies:

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:
The Paper Shelter: Anything Goes
Whimsy Inspires: Stitching Real or Faux
Timeless Tuesday: Grab some Thread!
Challenges 4 Everybody: Anything Goes
PanPastel UK: Anything Goes
Creative Corner Challenges: Anything Goes
Paper Crafting Journey: Ribbon or Lace

Thank you for looking and for all your lovely comments :-)

An exciting new challenge for all my crafty friends!

Good evening everyone, hope you are well :-) I am here to announce something new for my blog that I hope you will all get involved in! :-) I quite often make items which don't fit into a 'card or scrapbook' page category and often struggle to find places to show these in blogland. I thought I would remedy this by making a new two monthly 'Anything goes' challenge where we can all inspire each other with the different crafts we have been playing with! :-) So I mean jewellery, altered items, knitting, etc etc.

I will choose items to showcase on my blog throughout the challenge with a link to your blog to show the talent out there and hold a draw every couple of months of all the entries to win prizes-this first challenge will be sponsored by the wonderful Sarah Hurley-you can drool over all her lovely items at her etsy store here!
I encourage all of you to pop by each others blogs for some fabulous ideas, fun and mostly to meet other like minded crafters and hopeful…

Crafty Ribbons/Fiskars LED canvas

Good afternoon everyone, hope you are well. I am here to share a backlit canvas using my Fiskars tools in a rather unusual way. I took the canvas off from the frame and folded it in half to randomly punch across the front of the canvas. I kept the cuttings for later. I then stapled the canvas back onto the frame. Next I stapled muslin fabric across the front of the canvas. I then added Clermont Cotton Lace across the bottom of the canvas as a border. I then got out my flexmarkers and coloured the punched canvas pieces in three complimentary colours. I then asked tiny gems to the centre of each and glued them randomly like flowers across the muslin fabric.

Thank you for visiting and for all your lovely comments!
