Good afternoon everyone, hope you are well :-) I am so sorry I have been away a few days-the flu has set off a suspected throat infection so I am in a bit of a state! I miss you all so I have come on to show you one of my Christmas cards and promise to try to keep you updated :-) For this card I used Dovecraft papers (sorry they are so old I cant remember the name of the range), a Lili of the Valley image coloured with Promarkers and accented with glitter, gems, Papermania felt snowflake embellishment, and a 'Peace' sentiment.
Good afternoon everyone, hope you are well :-) Nearly a week and a half and still battling this virus, its going but taking a while to really go away! I thought I would show you a Christmas card using Tilda holding a snowflake-as its getting really cold again outside! I coloured her with Promarkers and Flexmarkers, then added glitter to the snowflakes. I cut round her with a nestie and paired with Bo Bunny Snowfall papers, a die cut snowflake which I cut into four to make corner embellishments, a Noel greeting, complimenting pearls and glitter ribbon.
Good afternoon everyone, hope you are well :-) Thank you so much for all your get well wishes over the last few days, I really appreciate them :-) Im still feeling the effects of the fluey bug but *hoping* its going to go away soon!
I am here to share with you a set I made as a gift for my friend using various gemstones. I have challenged myself to try different crafts this year and show you how I get on along the way-I hope you enjoy seeing something a little bit different and varied on my blog :-)
I made the necklace first and chose Rose Quartz, Blue Lace Agate, Aquamarine and faceted Blue Goldstone paired with pretty flower bead caps, Swarovski bicones and a screw clasp.
I then echoed this pattern to make my matching bracelet and used a heart toggle as the clasp as it makes this easy to put on without any help :-)
I would like to enter this into the following challenges:
Good evening everyone, hope you are well :-) I am here with a Valentines card I made for my friend Adele. We always swap Valentines presents as friends because it means we get a chance to show each other we care and whatever the situation is then we both look forward to each others parcel! :-)
I used a Saturated Canary image I love coloured with Promarkers and Copics and used my favourite Echo Park 'Yours Truly' collection with black cardstock and American Crafts polka dot ribbon.
Good evening everyone, sorry this is a bit late today, still got this flu thing hanging round-boo! Hope you are well :-) Here I am with my DT project for Dream Valley Challenges where our theme is 'Ribbon and Bling' which is sponsored by the lovely Crafty Ribbons! So for this project I used my Ribbons from Crafty Ribbons-a couple from the Tawny Orange Jam Pot set found here which gives you a fab mix of yellow and orange tone ribbons :-) I made a little necklace using these with tiger tail wire and ribbon clasps. I used some old beads from my stash with Citrine beads :-)
Good afternoon everyone, hope you are well :-) I am here with my entry to the My Minds Eye/Gossamer Blue Guest design call details here. I used some of my favourite My Minds Eye 'Lost and Found' papers and cut them into little Butterflies with Sarah Hurley's Butterfly svg file :-) I used a Canvas painted with white paint as my base. I then used the 'Sweet' sentiment from the same range as my centre and made a heart of Butterflies all around it, with butterflies flying inside the heart too.
Good afternoon everyone, hope you are well :-) Still choking away with this fluey virus thing and nasty cough-really hope its gone soon-thank you for all your get well messages over the past few days, I really appreciate them :-) Anyway, here I am with a piece of art I made :-)
For this project I started with a small square canvas which I painted with white acrylic paint. I then printed some gorgeous papers from Sarah Hurley's Collection-I am pretty sure from the Alice in Wonderland set onto cardstock. I then cut multiple little hearts out of this card with my Cricut Create. Next I folded all my hearts in half to give the look of flying-you can tell its inspired by butterflies! I glued these on the canvas to make the shape of a larger heart. I added six little hearts edged by red in the centre for a pop of colour too :-) What do you think?
Good afternoon everyone, hope you are well! I am here with my Crafty Ribbons project for our 'Button Up' challenge. Sorry its a little late, still struggling with this awful fluey virus and choking away with a horrid cough!
For this project I used the gorgeous new ribbons and buttons from Crafty Ribbons found here. I have a bag of fabric scraps that I save because they are so pretty and I dont want to throw them away. This project was perfect for using up some pretty fabric. I had a plain wooden plaque for altering so I covered this with cotton batting. I then covered the plaque with my chosen material and stapled on the reverse. I then decorated using the fab ribbon. I stapled a border ribbon around the middle, then cut one of the sentiments from another ribbon-stopped any fraying by sealing the ends with clear nail polish. I then glued this on the ribbon at a jaunty angle. Next I added matching buttons and then a hanging ribbon at the top.
I would just like to say I wish you all a Happy Valentines Day-I think its an opportunity for everyone to show they care about their friends and my blogging friends are all very dear to me. Thank you so much for all your support and wonderful comments which always brighten my day :-)
Good morning everyone, hope you are well :-) I have an awful fluey bug at the moment so I apologise for being quiet-I keep going into coughing fits which are seriously unpleasant! I have a couple of friends birthdays coming up so I have been making them special presents and cards. I will blog the presents later too :-) For this project I based my coloured image on First edition papers I love using Copics and Promarkers. I then cut around the image tightly and placed her on a decorative mat of patterned papers and cardstock. I added a 'Happy Birthday' glitterations greeting on a piece of complimenting papers which I placed on 3D foam pads for dimension . I made the base of my card with two patterned papers then added an American crafts polka dot ribbon border. I placed the mat with the image where I wanted it, then added three Memory box die cut butterflies in a row on the ribbon. I then placed another butterfly die cut on the top corner of my image mat and a complimenting bow on the opposite corner. Lastly I added a large die cut butterfly made using a Spellbinders die.

This time I have altered a little chest of drawers. I have had these My Minds Eye papers for ages and I just couldnt bring myself to cut into them so I thought they would be perfect for decorating the drawers-that way I get to hang on to the pretty papers without feeling guilty ;-) It was so simple, I cut around the parts of the paper I loved the most to show them off to their best on the drawers. I then varnished to make them life proof!
Both sides match
and the bottom.
I have some very talented guest designers joining me this time-thank you so much for getting involved ladies-your creations are gorgeous :-)
Thank you for visiting today and for getting involved, I love seeing all your gorgeous creations and cant wait to see what youve all been up to! :-) Remember NON CARD projects please :-) If you would like to join me on a future challenge as a guest designer please add 'GDT' by your name and I will get in contact :-)
Good morning everyone, hope you are well :-) I am here with my DT card for One Stop Craft Challenge where our theme is 'Love is in the Air'. I used one of my favourite Saturated Canary images which I coloured with Copics and Promarkers. I then used Echo Park 'Yours Truly' Collection as my papers, greeting and embellishments :-) I made this on a Kraft card stepper card.
Good morning everyone, hope you are well :-) I am here to show you my first creation using the wonderful new knit and sew themed buttons and ribbons at Crafty Ribbons here :-) I wanted to make a feature of the greeting so I placed this in the middle of a heart I made with buttons :-) Perfect for a Valentines for a crafty friend! I am not sure if anyone else does this but with certain friends I swap valentines just to show we care on a day that can be slightly pressurised to be a certain way, its the perfect antidote :-)
Good afternoon everyone, hope you are well :-) I am here to show you one of my jewellery makes from my new start in jewellery making. I obviously had to buy the butterfly charm ;-) I based my colours around the pendant so used Citrine, Goldstone and Quartz and Tigers Eye.
I love Semi precious stones because of their individual look, just look at the close up below, you can see the tiny flecks of Gold in the Goldstone beads, The different colours in the Tigers eye and the cracked look inside the Citrine beads.
Good afternoon everyone, hope you are well :-) I am here with my DT project for our Valentines challenge at Dream Valley Challenges. I used a canvas which I painted white, then cut lots of butterflies out of First Edition paper using a Memory Box die and a Spellbinders die. I glued these on my canvas in the shape of a heart and with free butterflies inside the heart.
Good afteroon everyone, hope you are well :-) I am here to show you my DT card for our 'Not Square' challenge at One Stitch at a Time this week. I am guilty of using square card blanks far too often so its good to be made to step outside of your comfort zone :-) I used an image from Tami from the store here which I coloured with pencils. I then used Bo Bunny 'Forever Fall' papers, a sentiment and script ribbon from my stash.
Good morning everyone! Hope you are well! I am here with my blog hop post to celebrate Sarah Hurley's fabulous new website, www.sarahhurley.com where you can now find all her fantastic products all in one place!
My favourite product (after a long time trying to decide!) is:
if you tell us what your favourite is in the comments below or on Sarah Hurley's facebook page you have a chance to win it and a £10 gift voucher to use on some more crafty stash from Sarah's shop :-) There are three chances to win so the more comments you leave the more chance you have to win! :-)
I chose to make an altered notebook using Sarah's pink Chevron papers from last years Valentines kit and a sentiment from 'Say Cheese'.
I printed all the papers and elements onto canvas to give the notebook a really posh finish and varnished to make it lifeproof! I used one of the photos I took last summer of a Large White butterfly in our garden as my focal point and placed it in a frame to which I added sketchy hearts which matched the sentiment in Serif software.
Now you should have reached my blog from Nicole if you are following our hop-and if not I strongly urge you to get involved-there are some great prizes! Next on your hop is Carol, so enjoy the hop, good luck and thank you so much for getting involved!
