Crafty Ribbons Inspiration Ribbon and Pearl Necklace

Good evening everyone, hope you are well :-) I am here with a necklace I made for the Crafty Ribbons Inspiration blog :-)
For this project you need some ribbon (I used some ribbon from the Jam pot ribbons in Blueberry here) beads (I used inexpensive pearl beads), jewellery thread, some fabric glue and jewellery findings. I sewed on the pearls and used a running stitch along the ribbon so when the thread was pulled tight you get the interesting folds in between the pearls. I then finished my beading by knotting the end of the thread then hiding this with another fold of ribbon which I glued with fabric glue to ensure it was strong. I used ribbon clamps at the end of my ribbon then attached jump rings and a fastener.

Crafty Ribbons Anything Goes

Hey everyone, hope you are well :-) Here I am with my DT project for Crafty Ribbons where our theme is 'Anything Goes'. I chose to use our new Bake ribbons in Mineral Ice to make a little gift bag with some yummy handmade cranberry and raisin biscuits :-) I used a cello bag then took a square panel of My Minds Eye papers which I placed to make an interesting triangle shape either side of the bag. I then decorated with a vintage mother of pearl button, a 3D butterfly and the gorgeous 'Keep Calm and Carry on Baking' ribbon.

Social Butterfly Aquamarker Card

Good evening everyone, hope you are well! I have been challenging myself to use my existing stash in new ways and this is one of the results and I think its my favourite (for obvious reasons ;-)) I used Stazon inks to stamp my under used stamps on watercolour paper and then colour washed with my neglected aquamarkers. I scribbled the aquamarkers on my craft sheet then took the colour with a watery paint brush :-) I mounted the panel on coredinations card and then stamped all round my base card with butterfly stamps using Memento. I then placed the sentiment at an angle in the middle :-)

Dream Valley 'Things with Wings'

Good afternoon everyone, hope you are well :-) I am here with my card for our challenge at Dream Valley Challenges-you can see my new love of CAS influencing this! :-) The theme is 'Things with Wings' so of course for me that instantly meant butterflies! I used the Stampin' Up kit I won in the C&P Cardmaker of the year competition last year for my inks, cardstock and papers. I used some Butterfly stamps from my stash, I dont remember the name of them sorry!

Padded Fabric Memory Board

Good afternoon everyone, hope you are well :-) I am here with a fabric memory board I made for my cousin. She loved the one I did for Crafty Ribbons with a tutorial and asked if I could make her one to go with her newly decorated bedroom. Of course I was more than happy to help! :-)
You can find my original tutorial here at the Crafty Ribbons Pure Inspiration blog.
I used thin wood as my base, cotton batting, cotton material, buttons and ribbons :-)

One Stop Craft Challenge: Pastels

Good morning everyone, hope you are well :-) I am here with my DT card for One Stop Craft Challenge where our theme this week is 'Pastels'. I chose to use some of my favourite First Edition papers, Spring Feast. I coloured my Tilda stamps with Promarkers, Copics and Flexmarkers and cut around her with an oval nestie. I then cut a coordinating scalloped oval nestie as my mat. Next I covered the base with two papers, and then added another layer of paper as a border, where I also added American Crafts polka dot ribbon. I placed the image on another panel of paper and cardstock and placed this in the middle. I embellished using Wild Orchid Crafts roses and butterflies cut with dies. Lastly I added little pearls.

Crafty Ribbons Keep Calm and Carry on Baking Oven Glove!

Good afternoon lovelies, how are you? :-) I am here with an altering project using the fabulous new Baking themed ribbons by Crafty Ribbons found here. I found this gorgeous Oven glove and thought it could do with embellishing with the ribbons which compliment it perfectly-'Keep Calm and Carry on Baking' is the sentiment. I chose two of the ribbon which matched the colours on the polka dot material and hand sewed them on-it hit the ugly looking hole the plastic tag had made from the shop :-)

CAS Butterflies Card

Good afternoon everyone, hope you are well :-) Well since I have been poorly with a run of viruses youll have noticed I have been pretty quiet. I just havent had the energy and felt my crafting mojo was on an unwanted holiday! Anyway, I thought I would have a go at something really different for me in a ploy to rediscover my crafting mojo and I am actually pretty pleased with the results! I find CAS really difficult so dont generally use this style but threw myself into it and with my favourite subject-butterflies! (Thinking if anything can inspire me it's butterflies!) I have this gorgeous Swallowtail butterfly stamp and it really hasnt had enough use yet, I am sorry but I cant remember the make of the stamp-if anyone can enlighten me that would be really helpful! I dug out the Stampin' Up inks I won for the 3rd place cardmaker of the year in their category and gave them their first real use! I stamped two butterflies directly onto the card blank, then stamped a butterfly in a complimenting colour onto a scrap of card, and I cut round this with scissors leaving a tiny border. I then placed this in the middle of my card on 3D foam pads. What do you think?

Good afternoon everyone, hope you are well :-) Its new challenge time at Dream Valley Challenges and this time our theme is 'Happy Birthday'. I decided to carry on my CAS experiment and came up with this card. I used the Stampin' Up inks I won with stamps from my stash, names escape me I'm sorry! I inked the slightly yellow/green colour first and then stamped the blue colour on top but slightly off centre to give a shadow effect.

A Little Bit Crafty-Anything Goes!

Good morning everyone! I am here with a new challenge for my new DT-A Little Bit Crafty! I was honoured to be asked by Paula to join her team, because she is one of my oldest friends in the crafting world and I have a lot of respect for her. Shes picked a wonderful team and its a pleasure to join them all :-) Our first challenge is 'Anything Goes'.
I used some of my favourite ranges at the moment, the wonderful All Sewn Up range by Sarah Hurley found here which perfectly compliments the Knit and Sew range at Crafty Ribbons found here. I printed my Sarah Hurley papers and hexagons onto canvas as this really makes a lovely texture and perfectly compliments the material texture you would expect with a sewing theme. I arranged my Hexagons and arranged little snippets of sentiment ribbon which I set with clear nail varnish to prevent fraying. I then added complimenting buttons to finish.
We are sponsored this month by the following companies:
