All Crafts Challenge Dec/January!


Good morning everyone! Hope you are well! :-)
I am here with our challenge taking us into 2015-how scary is that?! Where did the year go?! I also have the winners and top three from our last challenge too!
I would just like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who enters this challenge for joining us-we love seeing your gorgeous creations and meeting new talented crafters!

On to this challenge-as always our theme is ANYTHING GOES BUT NO CARDS! We love seeing what you've been up to, and hope it encourages you to think outside your comfort zone to pick up a new craft or use your stash in new ways to make gorgeous gifts for yourself and others! ;-) We have a tiny rule for you -please limit yourself to two of a certain kind of make each challenge-so you can make two tags for example, and then some other kinds of creations like jewellery, canvas art, sewing or scrapbook pages.

Remember NON CARD creations only please but as always we are an anything goes themed blog so you can make whatever non card creation you desire using any products you wish!

  7. The projects are so diverse which shows the wonderful talent behind each one. I remember making jute hanger for plants and even a hammock, but this wind chimes is so earthy. The backlit canvas is really amazing.

Home Decor Project-Beaded Curtain Tie Backs

Good afternoon everyone, hope you are well :-) I am here with my favourite home decor make in a while. My father made me a four poster bed as he had some spare wood and I have always wanted one! So my job was to sort out the curtains and the decor to go with it. The bed was painted white and I chose Turquoise organza for my curtains. I thought for a while what sort of look I wanted and had the idea to make beaded tie backs, I wanted an opulent look so I looked for a good mix of Turquoise and other assorted vintage metallic beads, gem beads and pearls which matched well.  I found a fabulous mix of odd beads on ebay, then bought some plastic rings for my hooks, and the rest I had in my stash.  I also used Tiger tail, crimp beads, crimp covers and my jewellery tools.  I wanted to keep them as random mixes so I made each differently. I started by doubling my tiger tail, and folding this over, then fixing the first ring with a crimp and covered this with the crimp cover. I then threaded m…
