Sew Lovely Birthday Wishes

Good evening everyone, hope you are well! I am here with a card I made using Papermania Sew lovely stash I got in a docrafts goody bag a few months ago. Its one of my favourite ranges because its so jolly and bright!
I started by cutting my flower focal point mat and then cutting a circle from inside this leaving a frame. I then folded my card so the front would interact with each other. I covered the card with Sew lovely papers and added the interlocking frame. Next I decorated the front of the card with a sew lovely pin wheel on top of the interlocking frame, and added sentiments from the die cut set, which I embellished by matting with coordinating colours of felt. I then added ribbon and a bow too.
Inside the card I decorated with papers and added a paper which suited being written on as the middle section.

Crafty Ribbons: Anything Goes with Ribbon

Good morning everyone, hope you are well :-) I am here with my Crafty Ribbons Anything Goes with Ribbon make for you :-) I used Classic Christmas ribbons exclusively available at Crafty Ribbons here (and actually I think this range will be a favourite of mine for this christmas season!) with some white and snowflake felt in black.
I cut the felt with spellbinders dies-it takes some doing-sometimes the felt just doesnt want to play nice so I warn you now! I used a large scalloped pennant in white felt, a large plain pennant on top using the black snowflake felt, and then added a smaller scalloped pennant in just the black snowflake felt too. I didnt sew the ribbon on-I wanted it to have movement so I have threaded it through the scalloped edges of the pennants.

Tim Holtz Autumn Leaves Backlit Canvas

Hey everyone, hope you are well :-) I am here with a special project for one of my closest male friends. He went out of his way to make my birthday really special this year so I wanted to make something special that showed how much I appreciate him.
I had the idea to do a backlit canvas with led fairylights as these dont get hot.
I started with a plain canvas, cardstock to cover this canvas and the fairylights.
First I arranged the fairylights in the back to give as even a light as I could manage, then I sewed and glued the lights into the reverse of the canvas. I then cut a sheet of cardstock to cover the front of my canvas.
Next I die cut leaves using a Tim Holtz die, and on the plain cardstock I used the negative die cut to sketch the leaf shapes in a line travelling up and across the canvas. I then cut the cardstock on the edges of the leaves, leaving enough to keep the leaves on the canvas, but where I could bend and shape my leaves to show light around the cut edges. I then drew round these leaves with versamark inks and embossed with gold embossing powder. I then used the negative die cut to sponge colour of distress inks I wished to use onto these leaves. Next I coloured the die cut leaves with these inks, and stamped script designs onto the background. I shaped these also and then found a stamp of leaves which I stamped with these same colours too, then cut out leaving a little border around the edge. I shaped these too.
I then arranged all the remaining leaves and made sure I was happy with the shaping.
I had to wait until the evening to see how it looked but I was very happy with the result. In reality it has a lovely warm white light glow, but my camera didnt like taking photos in the dark and made the colour look different!
Close up of the leaves-if you look closely you can see the embossed leaves are off the bottom layer of cardstock, and you can see the script on the coloured leaves.
The canvas in the dark-its actually a warm white colour in reality but my camera didnt like taking photos in the dark!
Close up of the leaves-if you look closely you can see the embossed leaves are off the bottom layer of cardstock, and you can see the different levels of light the leaves create on the canvas.
I really hope he likes it and you enjoy looking at my project too :-)

All Crafts Challenge September Gift Set

Good morning everyone, hope you are well! Here is my make for our September inspiration post for our All Crafts Challenge. Woodware very kindly sent me some products to use on my creation so here is my make using their kit and items from my stash.

They sent me Frantage embossing enamel and snowflake chipboards so I used Frantage for the first time! Wow that can be a messy process! I thought they made wonderful embellishments and would work perfectly with the gorgeous new Classic Christmas ribbons I got from Crafty Ribbons recently!
I used some gorgeous vintage christmas images I had which I left uncoloured to match my monochrome black/white and silver colour scheme. I used Papermania Art Deco papers which I distressed the edges of with my distressing tool. I mounted the image on black glitter card, then silver glitter cardstock.
I placed my Deco papers then arranged my image at an angle, with the snowflakes I constructed with the chipboard pieces as my embellishments.
I added Merry Christmas and Swirls and trees Classic Christmas designs by Crafty Ribbons to my creation, then made a matching tag. I covered the tag in distressed deco paper as I had my bag, then I added the Swirls and trees ribbon. I used my crop a dile to add an eyelet to make the tag look posh. I used Woodware ribbon as my tags tied ribbon at the top. Lastly I added a smaller version of one of the vintage image also mounted on black and silver glitter cardstock.
