Vintage Butterfly 3D Box Frame Art

Hey everyone, hope you are well! I am here with a Vintage butterfly wings 3D display. I used an image of butterfly wings from a vintage book found on the graphics fairy site. I printed it twice so I could use a layer for 3D wings.

I carefully cut out just the wings from one of the printed sheets and then to make them appear like real butterfly wings I shaped them with a curve and attached 3D foam pads on the outer edges of the outside of the wing. I then dipped the inside of the wing in pva then placed them on the other printed sheet. That way the wing curves up like its real.

I mounted onto a sheet of cardstock covered with cotton and then placed in a box frame.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:

Crafty Ribbons/Fiskars LED canvas

Good afternoon everyone, hope you are well. I am here to share a backlit canvas using my Fiskars tools in a rather unusual way. I took the canvas off from the frame and folded it in half to randomly punch across the front of the canvas. I kept the cuttings for later. I then stapled the canvas back onto the frame. Next I stapled muslin fabric across the front of the canvas. I then added Clermont Cotton Lace across the bottom of the canvas as a border. I then got out my flexmarkers and coloured the punched canvas pieces in three complimentary colours. I then asked tiny gems to the centre of each and glued them randomly like flowers across the muslin fabric.

Thank you for visiting and for all your lovely comments!

Alkaline Trio lyrics mixed media canvas

I am here to show you a canvas I created using printable cotton, cotton batting, plastic vintage style frame, acrylic paints, die cut foam, metal embellishments, glitters, texture pastes and nail caviar. The lyric fabric I created in a craft program then printed onto cotton, and placed in the frame after I had stuffed the frame with cotton batting.
