Vintage Style Mini Drawers

Hey everyone, hope you are well! I am here with a set of mini drawers I have been meaning to alter for a long while. They came as plain wood with tiny handles I didn't like glued on. I pulled off the handles straight away!

I embossed some good quality cardstock with a vintage style embossing folder. I then carefully cut around the embossed pattern and glued onto the wood to give some texture.
I then painted the drawers in three different colours of chalk paint. After this was dry I mixed various vintage colours of mica pigment powder into the matte varnish and applied using sponges. I painted a generous amount on to the whole side then took a dry sponge to take some of the excess off around the embossed areas so that the whole surface distressed but with the concentration on the embossed pattern. I did this for two coats and left to dry.

I then drilled tiny holes into the drawers and used some gorgeous vintage style label drawer pulls I got from docrafts ages ago, this way it is very secure :)

Thank you for looking and for all your lovely comments :)

Crafty Ribbons/Fiskars LED canvas

Good afternoon everyone, hope you are well. I am here to share a backlit canvas using my Fiskars tools in a rather unusual way. I took the canvas off from the frame and folded it in half to randomly punch across the front of the canvas. I kept the cuttings for later. I then stapled the canvas back onto the frame. Next I stapled muslin fabric across the front of the canvas. I then added Clermont Cotton Lace across the bottom of the canvas as a border. I then got out my flexmarkers and coloured the punched canvas pieces in three complimentary colours. I then asked tiny gems to the centre of each and glued them randomly like flowers across the muslin fabric.

Thank you for visiting and for all your lovely comments!

Alkaline Trio lyrics mixed media canvas

I am here to show you a canvas I created using printable cotton, cotton batting, plastic vintage style frame, acrylic paints, die cut foam, metal embellishments, glitters, texture pastes and nail caviar. The lyric fabric I created in a craft program then printed onto cotton, and placed in the frame after I had stuffed the frame with cotton batting.
