Sarah Hurley Challenge: Birthday Celebrations

Our challenge at Sarah Hurley Challenges is 'Birthday Celebrations' and for this project I made a simple but effective bold card.
I used Sarah Hurley 'Wonderland' cd available at her etsy store here for my paper and image, then used the red in the image to reflect with my embellishments-die cuts of red glitter card out of Spellbinders butterfly die and Memory Box Spring Border die.
Lastly I added a panel edged with Red Distress inks where I placed 'Birthday Wishes' black glitterations greeting.

Lili of the Valley Ballerina in Blue and White

Good evening everyone, hope you are well :-) Here I am with another of the gorgeous Lili of the Valley new release stamps, I just love her!
I stamped her in Memento and coloured with Promarkers and sakura glitter pen, I used a nestie to cut round her, then used Papermania Burleigh Blue papers and bow, Ribbon from my stash, Wild Orchid Crafts flowers, and Card Candy.

Sarah Hurley Steampunk!

Good evening everyone! Hope you are well :-) I am here to show you one of my first projects made with the fabulous new Steampunk CD by Sarah Hurley available at her Etsy shop here!
I really love this collection, especially the colours and the ease of which you can make any kind of project but especially those dreaded male cards! I made this one for my male cousin, I hope he likes it :-)
For this project I used Steampunk papers, tickets, Bingo cards, Digis and just a couple of extra bits from my stash-a 'Happy Birthday' peel off and some buttons I recycled from an old top.
I achieved the hot air balloon on the paper by reloading the patterned paper into the printer and then printing the digi on top, I really love this method because it means less colouring and it fits your project perfectly!

LOTV Sparkly Ballerina

Good afternoon everyone, hope you are well. Here I am with a new card made with my lovely new release LOTV Ballerina stamp that I adore!
I stamped her in Memento and coloured her with promarkers and flexmarkers plus added sparkle to the skirt and stars using Sakura stardust pen.
I cut round her wit a circle nestie, then matted her on a nestie cut scalloped circle out of pink glitter card, I also die cut a butterfly with a spellbinders butterfly die out of this cardstock too.
I used Prima Melody paper, used one sheet because its so gorgeous and busy I wanted to show off its full effect and to keep the sentiment printed on the paper on show 'A friend is someone who knows the song of your heart and can sing it back to you when you've forgotten the words'.
I placed my Ballerina in the middle of the sheet which was blank, then used the patterned slither I cut to make it fit onto the 6x6 card with a tiny slither of white all round on the bottom of the sheet as a raised border. I then added the Butterfly, then placed a trail of gems to show its journey across the card. Lastly I added three card candy embellishments.

OSAAT Digi or Dont

Good afternoon everyone, hope you are well :-) This is a late post as I have been very poorly with Shingles, and only just able to get online, hoping I am on the mend now! This is for the One Stitch at a Time Challenge which ends later today-you have around four hours to enter if you would like to have a go!
For this project I chose Ikes 'Thatch Cottage' from Stitchy Bear's Digi store. I coloured this with promarkers and flexmarkers, then cut round it with a nestie shape, which I then trimmed so only the bottom of the image was shaped, I then did the same with papers from Bo Bunny 'Forever Fall' collection as my mat, then used complimenting papers from this range for the rest of the card. I then added American crafts polka dot ribbon, and mixed buttons.

Sarah Hurley Challenge: Die Cuts

Good morning everyone, hope you are well! Sorry my blog has been quiet recently-I have been very poorly with Shingles and unable to do anything! Hopefully I am starting to be on the mend :-)
This project is late because I was too poorly to blog but you still have a week to enter so rush over to Sarah Hurley Challenge because we have a fabulous prize from Handy Hippo-a Sizzix die for easter :-)
For this project I used Sarah Hurley 'Wonderland' CD for images and backing papers, Tim Holtz Tattered florals die, Spellbinders butterfly dies, Glitter card, Memory box butterfly border die, Gold ribbon, Distress inks, and buttons.
I started by cutting a large coredinations base with a Grand nesties die, then cut two smaller panels of backing papers with the same set of dies. I inked the edges of these and placed them in opposite corners.
I then cut flowers from the backing papers and scrunched them, then inked them with Distress inks and used old buttons as their centres, then I placed them in the opposite corners where the backing papers were absent.
I then added the Alice image which I distressed the edges of and then inked with distress inks, then added the butterfly border and flying butterflies.
Lastly I added Gold fibre ribbon as my anchor for my wall hanging.

OSAAT With Love

Good afternoon everyone, hope you are well! Here I am with a card for One Stitch at a Time, and our theme this week is 'With Love'.
I chose the fabulous Hot air balloon digi by April and I printed this directly onto Echo Park paper then cut round it-a technique I hadnt tried before but I was very impressed with.
I then used coordinating border paper to create my background with strips of paper, starting with flowers along the bottom, then lined with a scalloped edge, then a cloudy sky. I cut a heart out of coordinating paper too and added this on my hot air balloon, then drew over where the lines of the balloon were below. To this I added a heart button. I added a greeting from the papers, then finally added three Papermania Born to Shop buttons.

A Valentines for someone special

Good afternoon everyone, hope you are well! Here I am with a Valentines for someone special :-)
I got these fantastic unmounted stamps on ebay-in the entire alphabet and I thought they were perfect for a CAS valentines greeting! :-)
I coloured the letters with Promarkers, then cut round the tile, then mounted on red cardstock. I then placed them across the centre of the card. Next I added two panels of red flocked cardstock I have had laying about for ages to finish the card off. I am actually very pleased with how it came off-CAS is not usually my style!

Whiff of Joy Vintage Wedding

Good evening everyone, hope you are well! Here I am with a card I made to celebrate a friends daughters wedding-and their theme is Vintage wedding so I wanted to make a really special card that would fit well.
I used a Whiff of Joy image stamped with Memento and coloured with Promarkers, Bo Bunny Timepiece paper, Flocked cardstock, Glitter card, Lace, Wild Orchid Crafts flowers, and card candy.
I made a base of Roman Numeral paper from Bo Bunny-as they will be displaying Roman numerals on the wedding tables so thought this was perfect. I then added Flocked card border, I aged some White lace with Tea dye distress ink and placed this as another border, then lastly cut some glitter card with a memory box die and placed this at the bottom. I then placed the image on foam pads so it was slightly 3D. I added a large wild orchid crafts rose and two little ones in cream in the corner, then added a punched glitter card butterfly made with a Papermania punch in the opposite corner. Lastly I added three complimenting colour Card Candy in the top left hand corner.

Sarah Hurley Challenge: Love is all Around Canvas!

Good Evening everyone-hope you are well! :-) Here I am with my project for our challenge this fortnight at Sarah Hurley Challenge, our theme being 'Love is all Around'. I was really inspired by this theme and wanted to make something really different so I made a Flying Heart Canvas.
For this project I used a bare canvas, Sarah Hurley papers from her Wonderland CD printed onto 200gsm card, Bone folder, Ruler, Aleens Tacky Glue and my Cricut. I started by painting my canvas in red acrylic paint. Then I cut a whole page of little hearts with my Cricut out of the patterened card.
I then folded each little heart in half using my ruler and bone folder so the hearts looked like they were little Butterflies flying. Next I made a larger heart pattern with the little hearts on my canvas and glued them with Aleens tacky glue.
I hope you like it-I have been lucky enough to have this project feature on a couple of Valentines Treasury lists on Etsy as it is available on my Etsy-the link is in my sidebar :-)

Good afternoon everyone-hope you are well! Here I am with a card I thought would be good for a new year. I used Whiff of Joy image stamped in Memento and coloured with Promarkers and Flexmarkers. I used Bazill 6x12 dot cardstock I had bought in the sale which I folded into an easel card shape for a change. I used Fancy Pants papers and greetings I got free in a magazine too-the greeting I mounted onto pink glitter card to make it strong enough to act as an anchor for the base of the easel card. Lastly I added the gorgeous gingham buttons as my embellishments.

OSCC Stitching, Faux or Real

Good morning everyone! Hope you are well :-) Here I am with my DT card for One Stop Craft Challenge-our theme this week is Stitching, Faux or real.
I started with the limited edition Magnolia Tilda cuddling Koala stamp, which I stamped in Memento and coloured with Promarkers and Flexmarkers. I used a nestie oval shape as her surrounding as it fit so well and backed this with a scalloped oval nestie shape in a bright orange.
I decided to use hot colours for this project so I got out my Bo Bunny 'Forever Fall' papers. I also used Gold cardstock, Card Candy, a Gold 'Make a Wish' glitterations greeting and American Crafts polka dot ribbon.
I then went around each paper with a metallic gold pen to create faux stitching patterns.

Magnolia Edwin Distressed Pirate

Good afternoon everyone, hope you are well :-) Here I am with a card using my new Edwin stamp-isn't he so cute?!
For this project I have used Edwin stamped in Memento and coloured in Promarkers and Metallic gel pen for the sword and buckle. My Minds Eye Papers, K&co self adhesive ribbon, Card candy, Distress ink, Cardstock and pirate stamps.
I started by cutting a nestie shape for Edwin, then distressing with Tea dye inks on the edges and then Pirate themed stamps stamped in the same inks.
I distressed the papers with scissors, and tore the cardstock to make a frayed cardstock border, which I added distressed paper border then ribbon. I placed Edwin on the card at an angle and then placed an 'Ahoy! There!' greeting in the bottom corner of the card. Lastly I added Card candy in the top left hand corner.

Whiff of Joy in Aqua tones

Good morning everyone, hope you are well! This morning I have a monochrome card for you using a Whiff of Joy image stamped in Memento and coloured with Promarkers, Coredinations cardstock, Glitter cardstock, Papermania Aqua Capsule Collection papers, American Crafts Polka dot ribbon, a dome greeting and card candy.
I started with the coloured image, cut with a Scalloped circle nestie, I then matted this on a large Scalloped circles nestie for a different look. I then placed this on a panel of Capsule collection papers then onto glitter card.
I covered the base of the card with one pattern of Capsule collection papers, then made a large border with two complimenting papers. Here I added the panel with the image on. I added my greeting in the bottom corner of this panel, then card candy in the top left hand side of the card. Lastly I added complimenting ribbon .

I thought this was the perfect chance to break out my Grand nestabilities and to play with my Grand Calibur I got for Christmas :-) I used an image by Barb called Sunflower-available at Stitchy Bears Digi Shop. I coloured this with Promarkers, then chose Coredinations card in a coordinating colour and the gorgeous Papermania Capsule collection papers and bows, Matching polka dot ribbon, and a mini Calendar by Papermania.

Sarah Hurley Challenge: All about Me!

Hello everyone! Hope you are well :-) Here I am with a project for our theme this fortnight at Sarah Hurley Challenges-All about Me! With all the fuss we make over Christmas for others we thought January was a perfect time to find some time for ourselves!
For this project I decided to make a scrapbooking page to celebrate the gorgeous Rare Butterfly that visited me in our garden last summer and sat on our beautiful pot of Lobelia letting me take lots of photos without fluttering away!
I used Coredinations 12x12 cardstock as my base and added papers, ticket and tags from Sarah Hurley 'OZ' CD-even punching butterflies from the papers to embellish!

Saturated Canary Sepia Memories

Good afternoon everyone-hope you are well! Here I am with a card I have made with a gorgeous Saturated Canary digi stamp available here. Shes fabulous! :-) I chose to go with a Sepia tone project for her, to make it feel as warm as her image suggested to me.
I coloured her with Promarkers, cut around the image with a nestie and then coloured the edges with Promarkers to echo the image.
I chose my favourite vintage style papers-Bo Bunny Gabrielle papers, Flocked patterned paper and a script paper from a scrapbooking kit.
I used Craftime glitter card for my butterfly and die cut border, a Dome greeting 'Thinking of you', Card candy and gorgeous Wild Orchid Crafts roses. As it is a special project I added genuine vintage lace-it is approximately fifty years old!

Lili of the Valley my new stamp!

Good morning everyone! Hope you are well :-) Here I am today with a card made with one of the lovely new LOTV stamps I was given for Christmas. I used Memento to stamp with and then coloured with Promarkers, Flexmarkers and Sakura pens. I cut him with a circle nestie and layered up with purple coredinations cardstock cut with a scalloped nestie.

Forever Fall Treats

Good afternoon everyone, hope you are well :-) Here I am with a new card using some gorgeous Bo Bunny 'Forever Fall' papers I bought in the January sales, and a Whiff of Joy stamp I havent used yet.
For this project I stamped the WOJ image with Memento and coloured with Promarkers and Flexmarkers, I then cut the papers with my nestie shape and attached my coloured image to it. I also used Gold card, a gold glitterations greeting, American Crafts polka dot ribbon and card candy.

Forever Friends Timeless Gifts

Good morning everyone, and another post! I wanted to create some lasting presents for my friends Christmas gifts and had some plain wooden stars so I decided to play with them. I painted the stars with a basecoat of silver acrylic paint, then covered with Forever friends Timeless collection papers on each side. I then added different Forever Friends Timeless collection images. Lastly I found some pretty ribbon to hang the stars with.

Steampunk Birthday

Good morning everyone, hope you are well :-) Here I am with something very different for me-I had a male card to make and thought I would play with my new embossing folder I won from a blog prize and Tim Holtz bits and pieces which I own but don't play with enough! I thought I would try making my take on a steampunk card.
I used Dovecraft textured metallic card, Tim Holtz kraft card, Tim Holtz inks, Tim Holtz stamps, and My Minds Eye stamps, and some lovely buttons my friend Renee gave me :-)
I covered the card blank with TH kraft card which I then randomly inked with TH inks, and then stamped with the MME and TH stamps. I then embossed the brass panel with the folder and placed it on the card. Next I made a border panel with TH kraft card which I stamped with the MME and TH stamps, then inked. I placed a brass border around the greeting which I had also inked with the same TH inks.

Joanna Sheen GDT 'Christmas Wishes' Project Two

Good evening everyone! Here I am with my second project for the 'Christmas Wishes' challenge at Joanna Sheen's new challenge blog.
For this project I used House Mouse stamp from the Singing Angels set coloured with Promarkers and Sakura glitter pen, HOTP papers I got free with a magazine, Glitter strip, 'Christmas Wishes' peel off, Card Candy, Christmas tree wire, Gold wire, Beads, Bells, and Star buttons.
I formed a circle with the Christmas tree wire and fastened it by wrapping Gold wire around it, which I then added beads, star buttons and bells to to look like a decorated wreath. I then used Aleens Tacky Glue to affix it to my card over my House Mouse image. I then added the Music notes paper as a border along the bottom where I placed my greeting and card candy. Lastly I placed a glitter border along the centre of the card.

I went for a vintage spin on traditional colours and used these gorgeous Kars papers with aged traditional colours, lace from the same set, and a lovely Chipboard greeting, which I then added a row of card candy to. Joanna Sheen GDT 'Christmas Wishes'

Good morning everyone-I am so so so excited to share the new challenge over at Joanna Sheen's fantastic new challenge blog and show you my project for my Joanna Sheen Guest design slot too :-) Our theme this month is 'Christmas Wishes' so please come and join in-its perfect for your Christmas makes!

I just wanted to say I am so grateful to the team at Joanna Sheen for giving me this wonderful opportunity, I appreciate it very much :-)

I made an easel card with a drawer and a matching gift bag, details below :-)

For the easel card with a drawer I used a House Mouse image from the Singing Angels rubber stamp set available at Joanna Sheen's store here. I coloured them with my Promarkers and very carefully cut round them with a crafting knife to show the papers as the background. I used a gorgeous set of HOTP papers I got free with a magazine for these projects. I also used Papermania capsule collection jewel brad for my drawer handle, Card candy, Green cardstock, a gorgeous chipboard greeting that matched with the House Mouse image and some lovely christmas ribbon from Kars.

For my gift bag I carried a lot of the same products to it so it matched the card. For this image I used the House Mouse Winter Rubber stamps Candle set available here. I also coloured my House Mouse image with my Promarkers, but also masked it and made clouds around him in the tree to make him more realistic. I added Glamour dust to the snow so in the light it really shimmers. I added a 'Merry Christmas' chipboard greeting.

Lili of the Valley Christmas Blues

Good evening everyone, hope you are well! Here is a project I adored creating-with my gorgeous new Lili of the Valley stamp I have wanted for ages and the stunning 'Snowfall' papers by Bo Bunny.
I started by colouring the stamped image in Promarkers, Flexmarkers, metallic pen and with a dusting of Crystal Glamour dust as my snow.
I then cut around him with a scalloped nestie-I chose to cut them both with the scalloped ones because it felt like it added movement to the image. He was placed on a Tim Holtz Coredinations mat which complimented the papers. I used one paper mainly and added two strips of other design papers from the stack, then added a Papermania felt snowflake cut in half as a decorative detail-its difficult on male cards not to use flowers! I then added a gold 'Christmas Wishes' greeting in the bottom left hand corner and three Card Candy which complimented the paper in the opposite corner.

My Partner in Crafting Crime-Christmas Tags

Good evening everyone, hope you are well :-) Here I am to show you a matching bag and tag I made for our challenge over at My Partner in Crafting Crime this fortnight. I used a mask, Kraft tag and bag, Distress ink and gold glitter.
I started off imagining this as my background but once I saw their shimmer with the gold glitter I decided it would be a shame to cover their natural beauty up! I sponged distress inks over star masks and then coloured round each star just applying the ink directly. I then chose parts of the star pattern to glitter with gold glitter.

Sarah Hurley Challenge: Buttons

Good morning everyone! Sorry this is late, have not been feeling very well and everything has escaped me! Hope you are all well!
I am here to show you the project I have made for Sarah Hurley's Challenge 'Buttons'. I wanted to try and do something new to get a start on my Christmas presents! I used Sarah Hurley's Wonderland CD, a plain canvas, distress inks, mask, and genuine vintage buttons.
I started by creating the background with sponging distress inks over a mask with make up sponges from the pound shop-the canvas texture eats away at the sponge so its advisable to use one you can throw away after the creation. Next I distressed the bingo cards from the CD, and printed the Alice and White Rabbit images. I cut round the images and placed them in opposite corners, then added the bingo card and vintage buttons as playing pieces. I then added buttons to each corner of the project which didnt have an image.

Good afternoon everyone, sorry I am posting late! Here I am to show you my card for the One Stop Craft Challenge for the week-Ribbon and Lace. OSCC Three is the magic number, our Blogaversary!

Good morning everyone! Its a special time for us over at One Stop Craft Challenge this week-its our three year blogaversary so there are lots of lovely prizes to be won! Sarah Hurley Challenge: Use more than two images

Good afternoon everyone, hope you are well :-) I am here to show you a card I have made for Sarah Hurley's new challenge-use more than two images. I chose the penguins and snowflakes and made a spinning card using the Christmas Cheer CD available here.
I cut an aperture out of the paper and cardstock with my nesties, and used the inside of the circle paper inside of the card as a backdrop for the penguin. I added dental floss between the two penguins and pulled it tight so it would spin within the aperture. I then added ribbon and gems from my stash.

LOTV Love Grows Sketch

Good afternoon everyone! Just popped on to show you the card I made for the little piece in Cardmaking and Papercraft this month! I think its page 66, they asked my trends for my Christmas crafting 2011 and what my predictions were for the trends in 2012.
For this project I used a Lili of the Valley image stamped in Memento and coloured in Sepia tones with Promarkers, I used My Minds Eye and Bo Bunny papers, Acetate, Tonic punches, A ringing bell, Ribbon, Kraft, distressing inks and glitter card.
I started by making the shaker element by cutting a frame out of the newspaper look bo bunny papers and mounting the LOTV image on the inside panel. I then added punched out glitter card snowflakes in complimenting colours to the MME papers. I added Acetate inside the frame then placed it over the foam pads I used to create my shaker space.
I matted the card with Kraft, then added the MME papers which I distressed along the edges with scissors and distress inks. I placed the shaker element in the centre and added a ringing bell tied onto complimenting ribbon so when you shake the shaker element it rings! Lastly I added some punched snowflakes onto the bottom panel of MME papers.

My Partner in Crafting Crime-Photo inspiration

Good evening everyone, sorry I am late posting this! Its new challenge time at My Partner in Crafting Crime and our theme this week is 'Photo inspiration' from the following photo from the design seeds website:

I started by watercolouring my image with Aquamarkers-I really dont use these much and I was very pleased with the results I got-sometimes it is good to challenge yourself!
I then picked out the remaining colours from the photo inspiration in my design papers-I used Papermania Rose Garden, Henbury Lane and a green and browns garden themed pack the name of which escapes me!
I used Rose Garden greeting 'Happiness' and punched a butterfly out of the Henbury Lane papers. Lastly I added a gem trail from the butterfly and from the greeting too.

You&Me project

Good morning everyone! Hope you are well :-) This morning I am here to show you a project I made using my Cricut and Cuttlebug. For this project I used Coredinations cardstock, Patterned Vellum and a 6x6 card blank.
I used my Cricut to cut multiple hearts in half inch intervals in complimenting colours, and then a 'You&Me' greeting from the same card. I covered the front of the card in the patterned vellum.
Next I embossed each heart in different embossing folders and cut a slightly larger heart aperture in the front of the card, and arranged them to come through the aperture. Lastly I added the You&Me greeting to the front of the card.

Sarah Hurley Halloween Scrapbook

Good morning everyone! I am here this morning to show you a Halloween scrapbook page I made using basic supplies and the gorgeous 'Vintage Halloween' digi kit from Sarah Hurley.
I used photos I took a few years ago of a pumpkin I carved in the shape of the Alkaline Trio logo-that was hard work!
I started with a sheet of Kraft card and added coloured papers from the digi kit in the left and right hand corner. I then used faux stitching on the 'Trick or Treat' banners made with gold glitter pens. I placed them so the banners looked like they were hanging from a string. I then stamped with some Halloween clear stamps and covered with heat embossing powder, and then heated them-it doesnt show well in the photo but the spider, witch and spiders webs all shine in gold. I heat embossed a web onto another piece of paper which I placed in the bottom left hand corner which I used as a pocket for my journalling tag. Lastly I added a glitter pumpkin from Jolees Boutique.

OSCC No patterned paper

Good morning everyone! Its saturday and time for a new challenge at One Stop Craft Challenge, and our theme this week is 'No patterned paper'. Oh I found this challenge so difficult! I love my design papers, they are my favourite part of a project. However I had a good go at it and decided to use my Coredinations Chocolate box cardstock, which I embossed with Swiss dots and a paisley embossing folder. I then sanded these designs down to show the colour of the cardstock under the brown coating. Next I tore the Swiss dot embossed cardstock to show the gorgeous colour underneath.
I started my card layout by mounting pearlescent slightly aqua cardstock on the white cardstock to soften the contrast with the Coredinations cardstock. I then mounted the paisley embossed cardstock on an aqua glitter card and placed this to one side of my card. I placed a tilda stamped with Memento and coloured with Promarkers on the swiss dots embossed cardstock then placed this panel on the card. To embellish I used Craftime polka dot ribbon and matching flower. I also added a button and a butterfly punched with Xcut punch from the glitter cardstock.

LOTV Fairy Sparkles

Good afternoon, here I am with a new card inspired by the challenge at Lili of the Valley this week, their theme is bingo and I have chosen 'Gems' 'Flowers' and 'Ribbon and Lace.
I coloured the gorgeous LOTV image with promarkers after stamping with memento, then covered the bottom of her skirt and her wings with Glamour dust glitter.
I cut the cardstock with a nestie and mounted her on a mint green scalloped circle. I used My Minds Eye 'Pretty Please' papers, Wild Orchid Crafts roses, Lace and glittered fibre ribbon. I punched a butterfly from white glitter card and placed this on the similar ribbon. I then added shimmer dots on to the scalloped circle.

Sarah Hurley Challenge: Misting

Good afternoon everyone, sorry this is late but I screwed up on the scheduling! *Typical*
Its new challenge time at Sarah Hurley's Challenge blog and this fortnight our theme is 'Misting'- a technique I will freely admit I have never tried-so heres my first effort! Hope its ok!
I used a Kraft bag with handles and sprayed the front with chocolate brown ink available at Sarah's fantastic shop over a Butterfly mask. I then painted the butterflies with Mica watercolours which shimmer in a gold tone in the light. I then added some gorgeous gold ribbon with trim fibres I won to jazz up the handles and then added a lovely Alice in Wonderland tag from Sarah Hurley's Wonderland CDrom.

Crafts and Me Ice Sparkles

Good morning everyone! Hope you are well :-) This morning I am here to show you a card I have made with the gorgeous Forever Rose digi from Crafts and Me-I coloured her with Promarkers and Sakura glitter pens on the rose and black parts of her hair :-)
I used Tim Holtz papers, and faux stitched the edges. I then added the digi which I mounted on Silver glitter card to show off the sparkles in the colouring of the digi. I then echoed this by punching a matching silver butterfly, and created a trail with Capsule collection gems. Lastly I added a large blue button, and used baby blue ribbon to tie in the centre.

For this project I have used a gorgeous LOTV image stamped in memento, and coloured with promarkers. I then added glamour dust to the white on his hat and on the star.
I mounted him on a dark green scalloped nestie, and used some lovely HOTP papers I got free ages ago and hadn't used yet! Nicecrane Designs Halloween

Good afternoon, hope you are well! Here is a Halloween card I have made with Nicecrane Designs Halloween Pumpkins digi (available here http://nicecranedesigns.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=99&products_id=656)
I coloured the image with my promarkers, and used it with V&A papers as they suit the vintage look-they are gorgeous Linen feel! It was a CAS card but I dont think it needs any more-the patterns on the paper are busy enough! :-)

OSCC Anything Goes

Good morning everyone! Its new challenge time at One Stop Craft Challenge and our theme this week is Anything Goes-so no excuse not to come and join in ;-)
For this project I used some paper from Robyns Fetish and a fantastic digi from Stitchy at Stitchy Bears Digi store.
I placed the paper, then inked the Halloween greeting panel with Tim Holtz Wild Honey and placed it to show off the paper to its best effect-CAS from me this week! Lastly I added a little glitter pumpkin to finish my project off.

LOTV James with Star in Snow

Good afternoon, hope you are well. This card was inspired by the new challenge over at Lili of the Valley whose theme is 'Let it Snow' and it was the perfect chance to use the lovely LOTV James stamp I haven't used yet!
For this project I used Kars Christmas papers and fantastic ribbon-I love this new range, its so gorgeous and vintage looking! I cut James out with a circle nestie and mounted him on a green textured card stock cut with a scalloped nestie. He was stamped in Memento and I coloured him with Promarkers, and used Glamour dust on the white places on his hat and star. I then made a snow scene with the Marvy Snow Marker which I let dry then heated with a heat gun and it springs to life!
The Ribbon Girl have had a fantastic idea for helping us get ahead with our Christmas crafting-their 'jingle all the way to Christmas' challenges where they will make a Christmas challenge at the 25th of the month running up to Christmas. I will do my best to keep up and get ahead with my Christmas crafting!

Sarah Hurley Halloween Horrors!

Good afternoon everyone, hope you are well :-) Its new challenge time at Sarah Hurley Challenges and our theme this fortnight is 'Halloween Horrors' sponsored by Derwent-and the fabulous prize is a set of 24 Coloursoft Pencils so well worth entering! :-)
For this project I have used Sarah Hurley's Vintage Halloween digi set (I used the 'Beware' banner and orange papers), Corrugated card, Papermania ribbon, Memory box paper, Halloween stamps, Embossing powder, Tim Holtz ink and Pumpkin embellishments.
I started by printing the papers and sentiment banner. I started by inking the banner with Tim Holtz tea stain ink, then I threaded the banner with ribbon. This ribbon was perfect and I have had it for ages and never been able to use it before!
I then used Corrugated card which I inked the edges of with the TH inks, and placed the orange Sarah Hurley papers on the top. I threaded the ribbon into the Corrugated card to hang the sign from
Next I placed the banner across the panel and stamped and embossed spiders webs in opposite corners in silver. I then stamped a little spider, and added a crow on some Memory box papers. Lastly I added two pumpkin embellishments.

Nicecrane Designs Adorable Alice Part 1

Good morning everyone, I am here this morning with a card I have made using the Adorable Alice digi sheet (available at http://nicecranedesigns.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=99&products_id=655)

For this project I coloured the Alice digi with my promarkers, and used my V&A papers which work so well with vintage projects-they have a linen finish so feel lovely too! I also used genuine vintage buttons-the bottom ones with the flowers on are at least 30 years old and look like they were made for these papers!
I also used blue buttons on the top panel. I added a Tim Holtz ticket with 'Dream' sentiment.

LOTV Fairy Button it!

Good afternoon everyone, hope you are well. This project I have created after being inspired by Lili of the Valley's challenge this week 'Button it'. I adore buttons-I have so many and love playing with them! For this project I used gorgeous LOTV image stamped in Memento and coloured with promarkers, then glittered with Deco Art glamour dust in Crystal-unfortunately in this gloomy October weather I couldnt get the right light to show it off to its best-what happened to the glorious weather we had yesterday?!
I used Dovecraft textured cardstock, Papermania Henbury lane papers and Papermania Born to shop buttons with an added pearl button. I used Pink bakers twine to tie each button then glued on the reverse. I used a satin pink ribbon and a 'Special Wishes' dome greeting.

OSAAT Use a Digi

Good morning everyone, sorry I havent posted for a while-I will explain later in my post. Here is my DT card for One Stitch at a Time challenge for the week-'Use a Digi'. A simple challenge so really easy to come and play along! Our prize this week is £10 voucher for Bunny Zoes store so why not come and join us?
I was given a gorgeous digi by Hope Jacare at Stitchy Bear's Digi store-isnt it lovely?! :-)
I used Kraft card as my blank and as the scalloped circle I cut with my nesties and mounted the digi onto then I added Prima papers as my backing paper. I punched a butterfly out of coordinating glitter card and then placed a gem trail around the edge of the card.

The reason I may be a bit quiet for a while is one of my Best friends has passed on, and I am not sure how this tragic news will affect me for a while. I was very fortunate to have such a wonderful friend and I treasure the memories I have, and I am hoping those will bring me comfort and help me get through this sad time.

LOTV fairy in Aqua, white and glitter

Good morning everyone! Hope you are all well :-) This morning I am posting a card I made which was inspired by Lili of the Valley Challenge 'Aqua, White and Glitter' and Wild Orchid Crafts Challenge 'Make it sparkle with stars'.
I stamped one of my favourite stamps from LOTV in Memento and coloured her with my promarkers and sakura glitter pen.
I used Papermania Capsule aqua collection papers, and glitter card as my base. I cut some glitter card with a nestie and placed a coredinating aqua paper inside, then punched out stars with the glitter card to arrange on the panel. I placed the image on a mat of glitter card and mounted her in the middle of the card. I then punched out a butterfly in the glitter card and placed it in the top corner, then used the gorgeous Aqua and white carnation from Wild Orchid Crafts in the corner of her image. Lastly I used a white glitterations 'Make a wish...' sentiment with a white and silver star.

My Partner in Crafting Crime- Sweets and Treats!

Good morning everyone! Its new challenge day at My Partner in Crafting Crime and our theme is Sweets and Treats so I thought I would make a Halloween Treat box with the lovely witch Tilda stamp. I coloured her in Promarkers, then cut round her leaving a halo effect of white around her. For the box I used my MS Scoring board, a circle nestie, green cardstock and acetate. I started by making the depth of the box an inch each side, and then placed the nestie in the centre of my lid and put it through my cuttlebug to make the aperture for the acetate. I then put together the box and stuck the acetate inside the lid. Lastly I added a sparkly pumpkin and the lovely Tilda in the middle of the acetate.

Good afternoon everyone! Its Sunday lunchtime and time for a new challenge at One Stitch at a Time and this week our theme is 'Favourites' so I chose my favourite ballerina papers which matched very well with the gorgeous digi created by Sylvie I was given from Stitchy Bear Stamps. I love the papers and wanted to use CAS design to show them at their best. I coloured the lovely digi in Promarkers and accented with a Sakura glitter pen. I used a deckled rectangle cut in half as her bench and cut a 'dance' sentiment out of Pearlescent card with my Slice. Lastly I added some lovely gingham buttons.

OSCC Easel Card

Its Saturday morning and time for a new challenge at One Stop Craft Challenge and our theme this week is fab-Easel cards! For this project I used the gorgeous Forever Rose digi stamp from Crafts and Me and I wanted to create a really lovely autumnal card so I coloured her with my Promarkers in oranges and browns and Sakura glitter pen (Her eyelashes sparkle in black) . I used Papermania Birdsong papers and lovely glittered and embossed patterned autumn cardstock from Lidl.
I also used Papermania Capsule collection brads, capsule collection gems and Autumn ribbon.

Sarah Hurley Challenge: Vintage

Good morning everyone-hope you are well! Well its my first challenge on the DT at Sarah Hurley's Challenge blog and I am very excited! :-) I'd love to see you come and join in on this fab theme, Vintage!
This week we were sponsored by Altered Expression where I was given these gorgeous little Vintage Nursery rhymes to play with!
I wanted to use all the lovely Rhymes so I made concertina panels for them so there were three rhymes to each panel. I used the gorgeous papers from Sarah Hurley's Oz cdrom available here. You must go and peek-there are gorgeous kits and all sorts of crafting bits and pieces! :-)
I used two 5x5 cream card blanks as my base which I stuck together at the middle panel. I decorated the three inside panels first, using flowers at each end and a MS punches butterfly in the middle panel.
I then decorated the outside with the same papers, velvet look flower with a gingham button, a MS butterfly with a trail of gems and a handwritten Vintage Nursery Rhymes label.

Sarah Hurley Halloween Kits!

Good afternoon everyone! I am here with my first project on the DT for the lovely Sarah Hurley and I am so excited with these products! Sarah has just released two kits-Vintage Halloween and Whimsy Halloween and you just have to pop over to her blog and see the previews here! They are great value for whole kits to play with for Halloween! Perfect for all your Halloween crafting, including making gift sets!
For this project I used the gorgeous Vintage Halloween kit, and just added some kraft card as my blank and fab ribbon I had from my Halloween stash last year :-)
I distressed the Vintage kit further with Tim Holtz Tea dye distress inks, and the ribbon which was bright white so it fitted.

OSAAT Punch it!

Good afternoon everyone! Its Sunday and new challenge time at One Stitch at a Time and this week our challenge is 'Punch it'. I was given a fantastic Halloween Digi from their store-isnt it fab? I coloured the digi with Wild Honey distress ink with a make up sponge and mounted it on black cardstock. I used Memory Box paper with a gorgeous Halloween look of distressed orange sheen pattern on black paper. I also used glitter card in orange and black for my punched butterflies and for the borders. Lastly I added the gorgeous glittery pumpkins from my stash from last year made by Jolees Boutique.

LOTV Vintage Shaker Christmas Carol

I was inspired to make this card after finding these ringing bells in the shops-perfect for shaker cards! I began my project by colouring the gorgeous LOTV carol singer image stamped in Memento with Sepia tone Promarkers to give a Vintage look. I then mounted them onto Bo Bunny Time piece paper which has a lovely deep red and white pattern, and chose sequins and snowflakes for my shaker pieces. I then found this gorgeous frame from The Graphics Fairy and I printed it out and cut the aperture out. I then stuck acetate in the aperture to make it my shaker frame. I highlighted the lovely holly and ivy images around the frame using glossy accents. I then added four gorgeous WOC red roses and a red bow. Next I mounted this on another piece of Time piece paper mounted onto a shaped 8x8 card blank. I then tied the bell onto a bow of green ribbon with a gold trim and stuck it so it moves-so when you shake the card for the shaker card element, the card also rings!
I then added green and red polka dot card candy and a lovely gold star in the top corner. And some truly vintage lace I was given from my nan in the bottom left hand corner.

Nicecrane Designs Adorable Readers Part 1

Good afternoon everyone-hope your day is much more cheery than the manky weather here!
Here is a card I have made as part of a set that I want to share with you. I was given the gorgeous Adorable Readers Digis to play with from Nicecrane Designs and decided to theme them as monochrome and leave them uncoloured as they were beautiful in their own right! Tim Holtz Vintage Sewing Room

For this project I folded the card like you would to make an easel card so it looks like a room divider. I used Bo Bunny Gabrielle papers, Coredinations cardstock and Tim Holtz Kraft cardstock.
I started by cutting coredinations cardstock with my sewing room die and embossing this with a swiss dots folder. I then sanded the cardstock to age it. Next I cut out the dress part with Bo Bunny papers to look like a dress on the dummy. I added tied string onto the button and embroidery thread wound round the cotton spool. I wanted this panel to be my main panel so I decorated it with Bo Bunny papers and mounted these on Kraft card to tie the panel in with the other panels.
I used the Tim Holtz kraft card as focal points for each panel so I cut them from the sheet with the pattern for a womens suit, using the front and back of this design.
