Vintage Butterfly and Bird Memories Suitcase

Good morning everyone, hope you are well! I am still in a state and cant talk or eat because of my sore throat so I thought I would come and cheer myself up with a new blog post!
This project is altering a cardboard suitcase I bought with a voucher I won for the Craft Barn :-) I started by painting the suitcase in white acrylic paint, then I left it to dry. Then I sponged distress ink over the suitcase until I was happy with the colour. Then I stamped directly onto the suitcase with stamps inked with the same distress inks. It doesnt show very well in the photos but in person you can see I have stamped 'memories' on the front, then decorated with swirls, butterflies and birds.

OSCC Coffee and Cream

Good morning everyone, sorry for the late post but I am struggling with a very nasty fluey bug, was hoping itd be gone by now but you know what its like! Hope you are all well :-)
Its a Coffee and Cream challenge at One Stop Craft Challenge this week so I chose to dig out my kit from the last docrafts goody bag-Wellington toppers and Papermania Lincoln Linen papers and border. I also used some paper from Prima Reflections pad. I inked all the edges of my papers with chalk ink to give them a distressed feel. I then embellished with Boofle buttons and Lincoln Linen blooms.

Saturated Canary Love Birds

Good afternoon everyone, just a quick one because I am feeling very poorly at the moment, hope you are all well and able to enjoy the sunshine!
For this project I started with my Alla Prima papers by Prima and coloured the fabulous Saturated Canary digi in complimenting colours to these in a combination of Promarkers, Flexmarkers and Copics. I cut round her with a wide border, then matted her on the lovely Polka dot paper. I inked the edges with a Chalk ink pad-and ever other paper I used on the card. I made a border up the left hand side of the card with paper, and mounted another paper a my background. I embellished the background paper with gems and buttons, then added a little white glittered star in the bottom left hand corner.

I got good news on Tuesday-I was featured as a Star Crafter at LEJ Designs and given this badge for my blog, thank you ladies!

LOTV Little Ballerina in Yellow

Good morning everyone, hope you are well :-) Here I am with a LOTV card using one of my favourite stamps. I coloured her with Promarkers and Flexmarkers, then cut round her with a nestie. I embellished a trail of gems from her wand to bring movement to the card.
I chose Bo Bunny Country Garden papers, then embellished with American Crafts Polka dot ribbon, Card Candy and a Butterfly border cut with a Memory box die out of Papermania cardstock. Lastly I added a Happy Birthday dome greeting.

LOTV Dressing up!

Good afternoon everyone, hope you are well :-) Here I am with a project showcasing some gorgeous papers I got in a stack free from a magazine, I am pretty sure they are Pink Paislee papers but I shall check later :-) I loved the detail in the papers and wanted to make a simple card to show them off at their best :-)
I used one of my favourite Lili of the Valley images which I coloured in Promarkers and Flexmarkers. I then cut round her with a nestie and framed her on a scalloped oval in complimenting cardstock. I then mounted this on peach papers with butterfly detail in the bottom left hand corner, then used the gorgeous mint coloured paper on my card, and mounted the peach paper in the middle, between the prints. I then embellished with Memory box die cut butterfly border and butterflies out of pink glitter card. Lastly I added a 'Happy Birthday' dome greeting.

Dream Valley Things with Wings!

Good afternoon everyone, hope you are well :-) Here I am with my DT card for Dream Valley this week, and our theme is 'Things with Wings' so I got out my Memory box dies and cut little butterflies from drink cans and embossed them to use them as my little handmade embellishments.
I used a Saturated Canary digi which I love, and coloured her in Promarkers and Flexmarkers. I then cut round her with a tiny border so I could showcase the lovely Capsule collection papers I had coloured her to match.
I added my butterflies randomly, and embellished further with Gems, Bow, Ribbon and used a 'Have a Special Day' dome greeting.

OSAAT Summer Dresses

Good afternoon everyone, hope you are well :-) Here I am with my DT card for our 'Summer Dresses' challenge at One Stitch at a Time. I chose an image from Ike available at the store and coloured her in Promarkers and Flexmarkers. I then paired them with Papermania Burleigh Blue papers and bow. I mounted her on Coredinations card in a complimenting colour and also used this to mat my sentiment. A simple card but I thought it suited it :-)
