Anyway here I am with my Family Scrapbook page two-if you didnt see the start of this project then here is the background. I have decided to make a scrapbook using my Grandparents photos of all my distant family relatives-going back to the 1800's-I really want to use it as a way to thank my family for being such a loving part of my life and to pass down the generations. I havent used the original photos and if any of you have any old photos I would encourage you to get them out and scan them in to your computer for safekeeping and also to rescue any that are fading with age-with software you can really improve the quality of the image and rescue them before its too late :-)

OSAAT-Fabric, Ribbon or Lace

Good morning everyone, hope you are well! Here I am with my DT project for our 'Fabric, Ribbon or Lace' challenge at One Stitch at a Time this week. Ive started making my Christmas gifts in the hope I can get them all made in time! I chose to make a frame for a photo I took which I love of a wintery sunny day by the sea. I had printed this on Canvas so wanted to make a frame without glass so I didnt ruin the canvas look. I found frames in poundland and decided to use those. I covered the frame and inside of the frame with the gorgeous papers by Oase and embellished the swirls with pearls and added butterflies too.I added ribbon to the bottom of the canvas to lift the photo as the shingle on the beach was slightly dark without it.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:

Nutcrafters: A Christmas Present
Crazy Amigo Challenge: Colours of Winter
Creative Card Crew: Anything Goes

My Family Tree Scrapbook-Part One

Good afternoon everyone, hope you are well! Here I am with a project close to my heart. My grandparents on this side of the family both passed away a few years ago and we inherited the family photos so I decided to scan and improve the photos (some of them are hundreds of years old and worse for wear) and make a scrapbook of my family tree using copies of the originals and rescuing the old photos so we have improved quality copies kept on an external hard drive. Luckily my grandmother went through her photo albums before she passed away and wrote who was in each photo which makes this process so much easier! The idea is to have a family scrapbook to share with my close and extended family now and to pass down the generations-its my way to show how thankful I am for those I love, even those who are no longer here.
I used a kit I bought secondhand from someone so I am not sure what make it is but its perfect for this project-pretty but with a real vintage look :-)

Loves Rubberstamps Guest Design Project 'Fun with Ribbons' and some fab news!

Good morning everyone, hope you are well! Well I got a huge surprise this morning-the postman delivered a large unexpected parcel-turns out I have won third prize in the Stampin' Up category of Cardmaking and Papercraft magazine's Cardmaker of the Year competition 2012! Got a fantastic prize of Stampin Up products-stamps, ink pads, paper, cardstock, ribbon etc! :-)
I am here to show you my Guest design project for Loves Rubberstamps Challenge this week where our theme is 'Fun with Ribbons'. Now we all know I love ribbon so this challenge was so much fun for me! I wanted to make a really cheery card so used one of my favourite stamps-Humphrey's Corner Thinking of you. I coloured this with Promarkers and Flexmarkers, then cut round with a nestie, placing my greeting where Humphrey is looking. I then made my card base with gorgeous papers free from a magazine (one of my fave free stacks) and polka dot ribbon in four different shades of colour complimenting the papers…
