A Special Masculine Scrapbook

Good morning everyone, hope you are well :-) I am here with a special scrapbook I have made for my friend John, hes one of my oldest friends so I decided to make a little scrapbook with snapshots from our adventures over the years. For this project I used Papermania All Aboard Papers, Die cut stickers and Ribbons, a chipboard scrapbook and a ornate frame I used on the front of the scrapbook from Papermania Madame Payraud collection. I thoroughly covered the page with the papers, on one side I scored around the chipboard and I cut out with about an inch border each side of the score marks then I used double sided tape on the reverse side to fold the paper over the edge to cover the chipboard edges. Then on the other side I just cut a page to the size of the page so I covered the tabs from covering the edge. I inked the edges with Distress inks. I made pockets using cardstock and covered this in All Aboard papers, and I made pull out sections from printed images on the papers like this…

A Special Scrapbook

Good afternoon everyone, hope you are well :-) I am here with another project for my friend swap-swapping pretty positive messages to celebrate my birthday to make everyone smile :-) This is for my friend Sarah who is one of my oldest friends so I thought I would add photos of some of our adventures to her message so made a mini scrapbook :-) I used a concertina scrapbook I have had in my stash for a while, which I paired with My Minds Eye Wild Asparagus papers and ribbons and I will tell you where my elements came from on the details of each photo :-) On my front cover I covered with two of my favourite papers from the pack, some polka dot ribbon and a chipboard sentiment I got in a scrapbooking kit a long time ago. My first two pages I covered all with the papers, then decorated with a 'You are wonderful' die cut greeting from a SEI kit, the other pages sentiments are from the same set from the front cover. I die cut butterflies out of MME papers and set self adhesive gems …

Butterfly Wicker Heart Home Decor

Good morning everyone, hope you are well :-) I am here with my creation for my All Crafts Challenge, sorry its a little late! :-) As our sponsor this time is Crafty Individuals I used one of my favourite stamp sets of  theirs to make my own butterfly embellishments. You may not be able to see clearly in the photo but they are a labour of love! I started by stamping with Memento and colouring with Faber Castell Polychromos pencils. I then dipped and coated the butterfly wings in UTEE. Once I had done this I used craft wire to attach the two wings to each other (they are separated in the stamp without a body so I used this to my advantage). I then shaped the wire so that the wings looked at various stages of opening like a real butterfly. I got out this wicker heart I have had to alter for ages, its very pretty but I felt it needed something more. I used more wire and pliers to attach each butterfly to the heart-that was not easy trying to poke my pliers inside the gaps in the wicker t…

Sarah Hurley 365 Challenge Stitching Real or Faux

Good evening everyone, hope you are well :-) I am here with my DT card for our Stitching Real or Faux challenge at Sarah Hurley 365. For my card I used elements and papers from All Sewn Up kit with the addition of some pretty buttons from my stash. I used the Keep Calm element as my focal point, then used the Hexagon design for either side of this to give it more impact. I used stitching paper, then a panel of pink pattern paper for a flash of colour. I then placed my focal point and decorated with buttons.

A Special Project in Parisienne Blue

Good afternoon everyone hope you are well :-) I am here with the first one of my special notebook project I am doing with my friends. I have a notebook with messages from people I admire, friends etc and I thought it would be really nice to add to it as its my birthday soon. I wanted my friends to smile on my birthday too so I made a deal that I would write them a little note-something like our memories, why I love being friends etc and then they would do the same for me. That way everyone gets a nice positive message to brighten their day! :-)
For this particular one I used one of my favourite Stampin Up stamps which I stamped onto die cut ivory cardstock with Paris Dusk Memento ink, then paired this with Parisienne Blue papers and bow to decorate, and card candi in complementing colours. I havent shown the inside because the messages are very personal but I have decorated all the inside with the same papers and written the messages on the same die cut ivory cardstock.

I would like …
