Vintage Style Mini Drawers

Hey everyone, hope you are well! I am here with a set of mini drawers I have been meaning to alter for a long while. They came as plain wood with tiny handles I didn't like glued on. I pulled off the handles straight away!

I embossed some good quality cardstock with a vintage style embossing folder. I then carefully cut around the embossed pattern and glued onto the wood to give some texture.
I then painted the drawers in three different colours of chalk paint. After this was dry I mixed various vintage colours of mica pigment powder into the matte varnish and applied using sponges. I painted a generous amount on to the whole side then took a dry sponge to take some of the excess off around the embossed areas so that the whole surface distressed but with the concentration on the embossed pattern. I did this for two coats and left to dry.

I then drilled tiny holes into the drawers and used some gorgeous vintage style label drawer pulls I got from docrafts ages ago, this way it is …

Handmade LED Fairy Jars

Hey everyone, I hope you are well :) I was thinking of ideas for presents when this idea popped in my brain. You must all know how much I love LED lighting from my older projects but as time passes they get even better! Smaller and much easier to make with :)

I saw a plain set of jars in a store for a reasonable price so I thought I would try to make my own LED fairy jars to give as presents for christmas!

I bought some LED fairy lights on wire with a small watch battery online and thought I would pair them if I could work out how to decorate the glass.

Anyway after considering it for a while I remembered my stash of Adirondack inks I have and rarely use. They are fantastic because they 'stick' to all kinds of surfaces-one of which is glass!

I loaded the felt with the chosen colours and repeatedly stamped over the glass until I was happy with the colouring. When the inks were dry I then got out my Sparkle Mod Podge and gave the jar two coats of sparkly varnish. You cant see the sp…

Crafty Ribbons Poppy and Polka Dot Shoe Bows

Hey everyone, I hope you are well! I am here with some shoe bows made using Poppy ribbon and lots a dots ribbon. I cut six identical lengths of ribbon-four of the polka dot, two of the poppy. I then folded each ribbon length and glued in the centre of the back. (tying bows make these too bulky so folding and faux bow is better!). I then assembled each one of the pair, adding a gem that I had removed from some cheap jewellery from the pound store in the centre to finish them well. Lastly I glued the shoe clips on the reverse. An easy and effective way to accessorise your outfit with your favourite ribbons!

Alkaline Trio Vintage Style Shoe Bows

Hey everyone, I hope you are well! I was messing about with making cool accessories and I had an idea to make some vintage style shoe bows for my shoes with an Alkaline Trio theme. (My favourite band!).
I used iron on transfer paper to print some heartskulls on and then ironed them onto the ribbon I wanted to use. I used a lovely mint satin ribbon for the centre of this bow and then used some gorgeous fuschia grosgrain ribbon to make the design really 'pop'.
What I love about these is that you can take them on/off any of the edges of any shoes without damage and they give such a different look to your outfit so you can take your plain shoes and theme them as you like!

Crafty Ribbons Nautical Wreath

Hey everyone, hope you are well! I am here with a Nautical wreath made using Crafty Ribbons Nautical Ribbons. I cut little lengths of ribbon then made a circle, lastly pinning into place. It is a really lovely, peaceful project to get along with :)

Crafty Ribbons LED Candle Christmas gift and wrap.

Hey everyone, hope you are well! I am here with my project for Crafty Ribbons 'Christmas' theme. I have been making personalised LED candles as presents for my loved ones this christmas and there is nothing better than giving them in beautifully wrapped parcels too!

For the candle I stamped the fox image on tissue paper and coloured with promarkers. I then used grease proof paper to hold it down as I heated it to transfer into the candle.

I found some christmas tissue paper which goes with the gorgeous Santas grotto ribbons from Crafty Ribbons and I wrapped my candle in tissue paper then used cello wrap over the top. Lastly I decorated with the lovely ribbon!
