Sarah Hurley New Beginnings

Good morning everyone, hope you are well :-) Here I am with my New Beginnings project for our challenge at Sarah Hurley challenges this fortnight.
I chose my New beginnings project to focus on Jack in the Green festival-which celebrates the beginning of Summer and is a fabulous event for everyone involved with a parade of morris dancers, musicians and figures representing the festival. If you want to learn more here is a link to their Jack in the Green site.
For this project I used plain green 12x12 cardstock I have had for ages and never found a use for (but perfect for Jack in the Green!) with Sarah Hurley papers and a Postcard as my journalling tag. I then used Papermania die cut butterflies and a metal flower as my embellishments.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:
Digi Doodles Shop's Best: Go Dotty!
Moving Along with the Times: Celebrating anything but birthdays
Fab 'n' Funky: A New Beginning
Ladybug Crafts Ink: Things with Wings
Oldie but a Goodie Challenge: Things with Wings

Thank you for looking and for all your lovely comments, and I hope you enjoy learning about a festival which is close to lots of people's hearts! :-)

Crafty Ribbons/Fiskars LED canvas

Good afternoon everyone, hope you are well. I am here to share a backlit canvas using my Fiskars tools in a rather unusual way. I took the canvas off from the frame and folded it in half to randomly punch across the front of the canvas. I kept the cuttings for later. I then stapled the canvas back onto the frame. Next I stapled muslin fabric across the front of the canvas. I then added Clermont Cotton Lace across the bottom of the canvas as a border. I then got out my flexmarkers and coloured the punched canvas pieces in three complimentary colours. I then asked tiny gems to the centre of each and glued them randomly like flowers across the muslin fabric.

Thank you for visiting and for all your lovely comments!

Alkaline Trio lyrics mixed media canvas

I am here to show you a canvas I created using printable cotton, cotton batting, plastic vintage style frame, acrylic paints, die cut foam, metal embellishments, glitters, texture pastes and nail caviar. The lyric fabric I created in a craft program then printed onto cotton, and placed in the frame after I had stuffed the frame with cotton batting.
