Vintage Alice in Wonderland Canvas

Good afternoon everyone, I hope you are well :-) Here I am with a new project for you, a mixed media canvas with an Alice in Wonderland theme. For this project I started by using a mask to create my background with sponge dipped on distress inks and applied to the canvas. Beware only use cheap sponges-I get mine from the pound shop because the texture of the canvas eats away at the sponge! :-)
I then used Alice in Wonderland tickets and images from the Sarah Hurley Wonderland CD (available at Sarah's etsy, you can find it by visiting my etsy in the sidebar as she is in my favourite shops)
I then used genuine vintage buttons my Nan gave to me (what a treasure I must say!) :-)

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:
The Altered Alice: Anything Goes
Great Impressions: Anything Goes
Robyns Fetish: Anything Goes
Forever Friends: Spring

Thank you for visiting and for all your lovely comments, I really appreciate them :-)

Crafty Ribbons/Fiskars LED canvas

Good afternoon everyone, hope you are well. I am here to share a backlit canvas using my Fiskars tools in a rather unusual way. I took the canvas off from the frame and folded it in half to randomly punch across the front of the canvas. I kept the cuttings for later. I then stapled the canvas back onto the frame. Next I stapled muslin fabric across the front of the canvas. I then added Clermont Cotton Lace across the bottom of the canvas as a border. I then got out my flexmarkers and coloured the punched canvas pieces in three complimentary colours. I then asked tiny gems to the centre of each and glued them randomly like flowers across the muslin fabric.

Thank you for visiting and for all your lovely comments!

Alkaline Trio lyrics mixed media canvas

I am here to show you a canvas I created using printable cotton, cotton batting, plastic vintage style frame, acrylic paints, die cut foam, metal embellishments, glitters, texture pastes and nail caviar. The lyric fabric I created in a craft program then printed onto cotton, and placed in the frame after I had stuffed the frame with cotton batting.
